Pasta Profanities

Need a MN sanity check. XH just brought kids back from short trip to Milan. He'd allowed DS (13) to buy me a pack of penis shaped pasta as a gift. ABIU to think that's flippin' odd/inappropriate and he and his DW should have said no?

Depends how open you are as a family.
If he wasn't your ex would you be as annoyed?

Personally I would find it quite amusing, then ask for my real present Grin

Ham69 · 31/10/2013 15:13

Wrong on many levels. Do you think exH and his W would have thought it hilarious and wanted to shock you? Perhaps you could get her a butt plug with a tail for Christmas? Or maybe not.

mycatoscar · 31/10/2013 15:18

Assuming your ex and his dw knew what had been bought then yam I, very odd thing to allow your son to do!

Any chance they didn't realise til it was too late?

Tryharder · 31/10/2013 15:19

Depends on your family dynamics. Do you think your XH was being funny or facaetious?

killpeppa · 31/10/2013 15:22

DS probably thought they were hilarious & exH probs wanted to seem like the 'cool' one Grin

HeadfirstForHalos · 31/10/2013 15:27

I would have laughed, it's just willy pasta!

MrsDavidBowie · 31/10/2013 15:28

My ds 14 would have thought them a hoot.
A bit like soap with face on one side and arse on the other.

SamG76 · 31/10/2013 15:36

YABU - I would have laughed as well. Only a short trip, and It's very difficult for kids, especially DS's, to think of presents for their mum.

thebody · 31/10/2013 15:41

good grief it's the height if humour at 13, what's not to laugh at willy shaped pasta?

wait till he has mates over an cook it for them. that will teach him.

Ham69 · 31/10/2013 15:42

I don't have teens yet so a bit out of touch but, thinking about it, I seem to remember buying my dad a willy warmer one year Halloween Confused

SkinnybitchWannabe · 31/10/2013 15:43

I would find them hilarious but my whole family think 'parts' and we do love toilet humour (as my lovely mum calls it)

UnacceptableWidge · 31/10/2013 15:43

Perhaps it's more the fact that XH was involved in this rather than the 'joke' itself? If my 14 yr old brought that for me it'd be a bit odd but funny I guess in a juvenile kind of way. However if he went away with XH and brought that back I'd probably think the idea came from XH or that he was 'in' on it and that would make it weird

thebody · 31/10/2013 15:45

I do like hams idea of the butt plug though!! Grin

JeanSeberg · 31/10/2013 15:45

Wrong on many levels

Why? It's just a silly gift, I'd laugh if one of my boys bought me this and in fact I bought them the same thing as a daft stocking filler one Christmas when they were a similar age.

How do you know his dad had a part in it and that he didn't give your son the money and he chose it himself?

Seems a bit of an over-reaction to me, it's just willy pasta...

Ham69 · 31/10/2013 16:06

Jean It was a bit 'tongue in cheek'. Really wasn't taking it that seriously. As I said in a previous comment, I bought my dad a willy warmer one year (as a child I might add).

doolallylass · 31/10/2013 17:15

Thanks all. Am flicking through Anne Summer's catalogues to find the butt plugs Smile!

I think it's just that recent comms with DS have been about me not letting him have GTA5 and having to get into some pretty mature areas to explain why I disagreed with kids having it.

Am really careful not to get involved 'over there' and am aware XH and his DW do set me off which is why I'm asking for a sanity check.

I think cock jokes are hilarious with my mates but not with my son. Dunno why I'll give it done thought. We like toilet humour. I just kept thinking 'he gave me a bag of cocks?' Blush

OP posts:
WilsonFrickett · 31/10/2013 17:22

Cook the cocks, with a niace sauce. Serve them up for tea with you and DS. Say 'mmmmm these are yummy cocks' quite a lot.

It will never happen again.

CoffeeTea103 · 31/10/2013 17:27

Yanbu, totally inappropriate. Imagine eating them with your son watching you.

SaucyJack · 31/10/2013 17:31

A naice creamy white sauce Wilson......?

Timeforabiscuit · 31/10/2013 17:45

Creamy but not cheesy

Cheesy cocks are plain nasty

Oh this could run and run Grin

scarevola · 31/10/2013 17:47

I saw this stuff on sale when we were in Rme on holiday. It's in ordinary, mainstream gift shops. I doubt the spatulas had any more input into this purchase than "are you sure?" "oh, OK then"

It could be worse: could be a 3-D fridge magnet of David's willy.

FunkyFucker · 31/10/2013 17:47

Yes to the butt plugs. Please.

And Yes to yummy creamy cock sauce.

WilsonFrickett · 31/10/2013 17:54

Saucy saucy Grin

Scarevola your autocorrects are the most random ever Grin Spatula? David?

littlewhitebag · 31/10/2013 18:01

My DD brought home a packet of willy pasta and proceeded to cook it with a creamy sauce. It looked very rude and I couldn't eat it for laughing.

FlapJackOLantern · 31/10/2013 18:39

Love WilsonFrickett's idea - serve 'em up with pasta sauce Halloween Grin
