Binkyridesagain · 15/10/2013 19:20

I thought that chocolate went off really really fast, you can't keep it for another day can you once its open can you?

Spaulding · 15/10/2013 19:20

The resealable tabs never work well for me. Which I take as a hint to finish the entire bag.

runningonwillpower · 15/10/2013 19:22

It's like those wine stopper things for when you don't finish the bottle.

We are struggling with the concept............

Binkyridesagain · 15/10/2013 19:23

What? stoppers for wine? Why?

I think I need to have a lie down, my world has been shaken to the core!

GoofyIsACow · 15/10/2013 19:24

But mw stars are crap chocolate and therefore the kinda stuff you feed to your children, resealing is necessary... Now tabs on maltesers/revels etc... Nah i don't get those! Grin

EatingAllTheCrumpets · 15/10/2013 19:24

Binky I heard all chocolate starts to deteriorate as soon as it's opened, and really bad things happen to you if you leave it past 24 hours

runningonwillpower · 15/10/2013 19:25

Binky - I know! The cost of the wine stoppery thing could buy another bottle of wine.

Binkyridesagain · 15/10/2013 19:26

That's what I always thought crumpets, I refuse to believe that you can reseal chocolate and save it for another day.

ITS AGAINST THE LAWS OF NATURE!!

Justforlaughs · 15/10/2013 19:27

Glad it's not just me! Grin
Goofy the chocolate might not be the best but right now "the price is right" so needs must! Wink -still not resealing them though!

FortyDoorsToNowhere · 15/10/2013 19:28

It is the big bags or standard size one < not that it matters>

Wine stoppers, never heard of them.

next someone will be posting that the lid of B&J ice-cream is to store it back in the freezer.

KillerKoalaFaceFromSpace · 15/10/2013 19:30

There are resealable tabs?! I don't suppose I'd notice while emptying the whole bag into my mouth at once in a frenzy.

GoofyIsACow · 15/10/2013 19:30

Ahhh yes, desperation chocolate is sometimes the best cooking chocolate isn't even safe in this house Grin

Binkyridesagain · 15/10/2013 19:30

Forty you have to eat ALL the ice cream, its designed to be eaten in one sitting. If it wasn't it wouldn't melt!

Smoorikins · 15/10/2013 19:37

You guys!

The reasoin for teh reseal is so that you can give a little to the kids, seal it (so they don't get any more), and once they've gone to bed you go back and finish the lot.

Of course, this only needs to happen if they discover your hiding place...

mrsjay · 15/10/2013 19:41

somebody got me a wine stopper as part of a present Confused

the tabs are part of a health thing you are supposed to enjoy chocolate in moderation and the tabs are supposed to give you a subconcious (sp) cue to stop eating,

mrsjay · 15/10/2013 19:42

It is like the tabs on big crisp packets oh how i laugh as i shovel them in

sanityawol · 15/10/2013 19:50

I had to ask DH to explain something that was printed on a wine box... Apparently they keep the wine fresh for six weeks.

I just don't understand why you would need it to keep for that long.

KneesoftheBee · 15/10/2013 19:53

somebody got me a wine stopper as part of a present

mrsjay I've always thought these were as useful as a chocolate teapot.
They are usually very pretty though. Maybe make some earrings out of them. Grin

mrsjay · 15/10/2013 19:55

it sits on my window sill it has a funny wine related slogan I laugh on a friday night as I bin the screw cap Grin

KneesoftheBee · 15/10/2013 19:58

Grin maybe someone will start up a wine stopper refuge.

FortyDoorsToNowhere · 15/10/2013 20:18

was it a gag present.

Aniseeda · 15/10/2013 20:21

I once had a flatmate who could eat a small piece off an Easter Egg and leave the rest on her shelf in the kitchen cupboard for weeks on end.

I think she did it deliberately to taunt me.

More than once, I ate her egg while she was at work and then had to go out and buy another and eat a small piece to make it match!

She'd have loved a resealable tab Grin

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 15/10/2013 21:06

I once read one of those handy tips that suggested freezing 'leftover' wine in ice cube trays so you could add it to soup / stock/ meals etc, oh how I laughed Smile

mrsjay · 15/10/2013 21:11

frozen wine that is madness although I do know of somebody who had given up drink for a while her and her husband had both decided on it they were drinking lemondade one night and the husband said to his wife can I have some of your ice cubes Oh there is none left yes there is he stormed to the freezer and the ice cubes had a chardonay smell about them Grin

mrsjay · 15/10/2013 21:12

i can honestly say I am not really into chocolateI would have been the egg nibbler
