I just heard in my room that my husband was saying 'stupid' as a small voice while he was cooking alone.

Was he swearing?

OP posts:

Completely. And. Utterly. Hatstand.

Birdsgottafly · 15/10/2013 19:18

I think the FB one is one of the threads I am thinking of, the OP had a couple of unusual threads on the go.

CackleCackle · 15/10/2013 19:19

birds

Yes, I remember that one too, advanced searched the nickname that time and it came up with all sorts of weird. I think the general consensus was to get her husband on here so we could tell him to LTB.

CackleCackle · 15/10/2013 19:21

Well anyway..

nicetobehere
Leave your husband alone to finish whatever he was doing in the kitchen. Stupid is not a swear word.

Justforlaughs · 15/10/2013 19:24

No, OP, "stupid" is NOT a swear word, however imho, when used directly at someone it can be more hurtful and damaging than that. Muttering that "the cooker is stupid" is ok, but be very careful of using the word, along with "idiot", "retard" etc. I would far rather be called an "arsehole" than "stupid".

LittlePeaPod · 22/10/2013 16:52

Op have you just set up the other thread in relationship about your DH? If so this thread is as Hmm and Confused as he other thread!

Annagramma · 22/10/2013 17:28

Ooooookaaaaaay.

AngryGnome · 22/10/2013 17:31

I like this thread Grin

LittlePeaPod · 22/10/2013 17:47

If you like this one you should see the other one! Grin

firesidechat · 22/10/2013 17:47

OP have you name changed again?

I think that this is the OP with anxiety problems as it all seems very familiar.

No, saying stupid to yourself is not swearing and in the nicest possible way, please stop looking for problems with your poor husband that aren't really there. Also please get some help because all this worrying must be exhausting for you. This is a sincere request by the way.

ScaryBeardyDeadyman · 22/10/2013 17:50

Stupiding motherstupid stupid.

firesidechat · 22/10/2013 17:50

For all those posters who wondered, I am sure that this is the same OP, yes.

ScaryBeardyDeadyman · 22/10/2013 17:51

I've tried it and I'm not convinced, and I'm a motherfucking expert on swearing!

eurochick · 22/10/2013 17:52

Bonkers...

blahblahblah2014 · 22/10/2013 18:00

what a load of bollocks!

storminabuttercup · 22/10/2013 18:04

Were you T-Rexing? Cos he mighnt have thought you looked stupid....

Coffeenowplease · 22/10/2013 18:10

I remember this OP under a different name. She posted some very odd threads then.

What culture did she say she was from where you cant swear ?!?

Id hate it where ever it is.

Coffeenowplease · 22/10/2013 18:11

Op seriously does need some help based on past threads. I doubt she will come back to this one.

picnicbasketcase · 22/10/2013 18:12

Ah, the lady who won't allow any swearing around her again. If a woman posted on here that her husband had banned her from swearing or saying anything unpleasant in his presence, everyone would be shrieking about controlling he was. Just saying.

HaroldLloyd · 22/10/2013 18:12

Are you the OP who had the MIL with the bare arms?

I think if he was calling potatoes stupid that's ok as they have no feelings.

Coffeenowplease · 22/10/2013 18:21

Im dying to know the culture tbh.

KCumberSandwich · 22/10/2013 18:29

Shock how insensitive! how do you know they don't have feelings?

poor wee tatties Wink

MadAsFish · 22/10/2013 18:33

Nope, only only one word syllables count. eg Stu-pid versus Fuck

What about bug-ger?
Fuck-ing
Arse-hole
Twa-tty
Boll-ocks?

MurderOfBanshees · 22/10/2013 18:35

So confused..
