Aibu to think that HD 'tattoo style' eyebrow looks absolutely terrible

I see people who have had them done and all I can see is their eyebrows. Why do people do this to themselves?

No, I also think it makes you look like an extra from Lazy Town. Hideous. The same effect can be replicated by using a thick permanent marker, preferably in an unlikely shade of red.

mine are semi permanent (ie tattoo'ed on). i had them done as i have almost no real eyebrows due to over plucking. they are hundreds and hundreds of tiny hair strokes drawn on and made into the perfect shape eyebrow

i absolutely love them and personally think i look way better now

It depends. If they aren't a natural colour they can look silly but a natural colour can look really good. I get eyebrow envy!

When done properly HD brows can be lovely. Just a natural and fuller looking brow where it's really sparse originally.

However the blocky, dark, drawn on with a sharpie look is all sorts of wrong.

DP's sister has blonde extensions hair and horrible heavy coal black eyebrows. So deeply unattractive.

I have mine done but I go for the shape rather than a strong colour - I leave them their natural colour and I'm happy with them

Eyebrow fashions change quite frequently and dramatically (think 1970s Mia Farrow vs 1980s Brooke Shields) so I'd worry about having these tattooed! I guess it's just semi-permanent though?

lol mine are deffo not black caterpillars

they are dark brown though but i have dark brown hair

they last up to 4 years and i think they are done with a pigment similar to tattoo ink but mineral based i think

if i didnt have them retouched (which i deffo will be doing!) they would fade entirely within 4 years

I know a couple of people with HD brows. It makes them look permanently angry.

I know someone with them. I do think they only look good on dark haired people and even then only when they are wearing make up.

They are dreadful, like two hairy caterpillars. I have natural HD brows and I hate them, so have them plucked
