Ive changed my name as im peeved off. I asked for a genuine bit of advice about dd2 school, and i got abuse. Everyone is so unfriendly and jump down ur throat. Its very clicky in here and they all stick togethet. At least on netmums u get a fair hearing and gd advice, its crap here.

People come on here for an ego trip and im sick of it. Have a bit if respect and decency for peoples feelings!!! Grrrrr wish it was properly monitored

Sincere thanks for brightening up my night, OP - feel free to come and spread a little stardust at MN any time you like!

Tiredmumno1 · 12/10/2013 00:02

By bigging up NM, and sending everyone that way that is.

50shadesofknackered · 12/10/2013 00:06

Oh dear, has she ducked off? Maybe she's fucked off too now who can't spell

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 12/10/2013 00:06

There's been a bit of stress chez EvilWolef tonight, HoneyBooBooDragon, and it seems to have upset NeuroticHound's digestion. Massively. Everywhere.

She is NOT coming upstairs for a cuddle on our bed.

Dh is saying it is time to go to bed, but I am having fun here - OliviaMN - you are a wonderful, wonderful, twin-gestating human being, so please, please, please don't delete this thread before tomorrow? I will send you biscuits and hugzz and stuff!

Tiredmumno1 · 12/10/2013 00:06
YouTheCat · 12/10/2013 00:06

Night, Gordy Grin

HereComesHoneyBooBooDragon · 12/10/2013 00:07

Oh dear. I prescribe regular sips of gin for you and dh to stay mellow tomorrow. Purely for the dogs sake.

PrincessFlirtyPants · 12/10/2013 00:07

Is this a stealth thread about MN royalty and bullying? Joy. Hmm

perceptionreality · 12/10/2013 00:07

The nastiness is certainly mostly in the minority I think, even now that the site is so much bigger. There are some very intelligent and educated people here and I think the thing to do is avoid AIBU unless you're happy to get 'robust' replies.

IamtheZombie · 12/10/2013 00:11

It isn't that sort of smoke, Tiredmum. Sadly...

YouTheCat · 12/10/2013 00:11

I like the 'robustness' of AIBU.

I think it's a while since I started a thread anywhere though.

TheInquisitor · 12/10/2013 00:11

Sorry, not read all the thread. I'm a regular user of both Mumsnet AND Netmums and have been for a few years now.
Yes, Netmums is more about the support, and a lot more fluffier in general, but that's not to say that Mumsnet isn't.
With Mumsnet, it's more blunt and straight forward. If you're talking shite, then you're more likely to be told that you are in a to the point way.
Netmums are more likely to sugar coat it.
Both sites are great, although you do need a lot thicker skin to post on here. Shrug it off and give back just as much as you get. Grin
