Ive changed my name as im peeved off. I asked for a genuine bit of advice about dd2 school, and i got abuse. Everyone is so unfriendly and jump down ur throat. Its very clicky in here and they all stick togethet. At least on netmums u get a fair hearing and gd advice, its crap here.

People come on here for an ego trip and im sick of it. Have a bit if respect and decency for peoples feelings!!! Grrrrr wish it was properly monitored

Hmm
ilovesooty · 11/10/2013 23:56

I'm appalled that someone can defend a poster using the word retard. It really must be a shit site if that's the standard of moderation.

HereComesHoneyBooBooDragon · 11/10/2013 23:56

Oh and I'll tell you what real bullying is. I can give you live action bullying.

I am say on the fucking floor posting this whilst HullyFuckingGullyPuppy takes up an ENTIRE 3 seater sofa Angry

perceptionreality · 11/10/2013 23:56

I haven't read the whole thread but I do agree with the OP, particularly in recent years. Sometimes people will just be nasty on a thread where you're asking for advice for no reason at all and I've been on the receiving end of that so sympathise. But the nasty people are not everyone, the site is just bigger than it used to be with more trolls perhaps

OTOH mumsnet is much more cerebral than netmums, and that is why I've stuck with it for 10 years even though netmums is friendlier and I do post there too sometimes.

Alisvolatpropiis · 11/10/2013 23:58

I looked at Nemums once after seeing it mentioned on here. Had never heard of it beforehand.

Lots of text speak (fine if that is your thing) and pink. Not much in the way of intelligent discussion never mind amusing wit. I decided to stay put.

Tiredmumno1 · 11/10/2013 23:58

Uh oh Olivia did the Hmm face.

I think that's our cue to get our arses to bed Grin

ConfusedPixie · 11/10/2013 23:58

Shock How can a Puppy be that big?!

reeling take it off! Mine came off the minute I walked in and always does

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 11/10/2013 23:59

Ha! I see your HullyFuckingGullyPuppy taking up the whole sofa, and raise you a neurotic EvilWolefHound who has thrown up all over the sofa whilst lying on it. And then threw up in her bed. Then on the office floor, and finally on the kitchen floor.

I would swap all of that for one snuggly wuggly puppy on a sofa.

usualsuspect · 11/10/2013 23:59

What does any of it mean?

ilovesooty · 11/10/2013 23:59

I can't believe any self respecting person over the age of 12 uses the word "mean" Hmm

Mumsnet comes first alphabetically therefore it is better says someone who spent years coming last because my surname began with a letter at the end of the alphabet

Maybe Olivia was trying to get rid of all the newcomers, after the penis beaker saga. So they could save the servers Grin

Aw well Perception, I've only been here 2/3 years but I don't see that much bullying really... just honesty.

I tried Netmums and couldn't focus after 5 minutes. Dreadful place.

I tried Bounty and it was just utterly shit tbh and full of people worrying about their 4 year old struggling with War and Peace. Hmm

I am a member of another, much smaller and more intimate parenting forum and have been there for 9 years or something daft like that.

But I do like it here.
