I'm pregnant with # 3 and just got this from friend (also pg) it's a picture of a baby scan with a poem written over it

In tears (of laughter!

Yes I'm a bitch

Admire me for my bloated, swollen cankled grace? Hahahaha. Oh

Mummy, can you feel me?
I'm wriggling just for you.
I can hear you say you love me,
Mum I love you too.

Very soon you'll meet me,
And kiss my tiny face.
And I will feel your warm skin,
And admire you for your grace.

Mummy are you ready?
My life is just about to start.
I will hold your little finger,
But you will hold my heart.

Mummy can you feel me?
I?ve been kicking quite a bit
I bet now you wish the condom hadn?t split

Very soon you?ll meet me
your love for me will rocket
Even though my birth will leave a fanny like a clown?s pocket

Mummy are you ready?
I will be with you very soon
You?ll age a decade in a year and have tits like a deflating balloon

MmeLindor · 31/08/2013 17:49

Mummy, can you hear me?
I've just been to the loo.
And despite repeated warnings,
I haven't flushed the poo.

Very soon you'll call me,
To come and have my dinner.
But this level must be finished,
On the Wii, I'll be the winner!

Mummy are you listening?
I've spoke a dozen times,
But you are far to busy laughing,
Mumsnetting, and drinking wine.

fenellafudgetunnel · 31/08/2013 18:09

Jesus. I don't fucking believe it. My friend pointed this out to me. You absolute cow OP. You know what I've been through and I thought you'd like to share this poem which REALLY touched me. How could you. Sad

fenellafudgetunnel · 31/08/2013 18:13

And you don't have to receive my Facebook updates either. Either unsubscribe or unfriend me. Better still I'll do it myself.

TiredDog · 31/08/2013 18:14

Oops

Nancy66 · 31/08/2013 18:16

Interesting development!

littlemog · 31/08/2013 18:16

Oh no. Is that for real? Sad

TiredDog · 31/08/2013 18:19

I'm a little suspicious. If fenella has really sent this recently to OP I would imagine she's really hurt.

WhoNickedMyName · 31/08/2013 18:19

^^I don't believe that's for real.

The bloody awful poem is all over FB.

Unless the OP has a load of other posts under the same name which identify her.

ShirleyFuckingKnot · 31/08/2013 18:20

SIOB

0utnumbered · 31/08/2013 18:20

Why are some people so bitchy and horrible? I think this is lovely, even if you don't just shut up and ignore it, it really isn't necessary to criticise every little thing for no valid reason, try enjoying life every once in a while

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 31/08/2013 18:21

Oh dear, it's all gone a bit pete tong.

MrsDavidBowie · 31/08/2013 18:23

One reason I'm not on FB so I can avoid sentimental rubbish like that.

MmeLindor · 31/08/2013 18:24

It's not bitchy and horrible. It's a twee 'poem' and I can only be thankful that I've not got friends on FB who share this kind of crap.

Sorry, I just hate these pseudo poems. They are shared by the kind of people who post updates from their unborn child and add 'mummy' to their FB names.

A child is a living breathing individual and we don't have the right to put words into its mouth.

Charlottehere · 31/08/2013 18:27

Ahhh it's sweet.

reelingintheyears · 31/08/2013 18:27

Fooking brilliant!

I'd point and laugh too. Grin

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 31/08/2013 18:28

There is a world of difference between
a) feeling attached and loving to your unborn child - which is an honorable and private emotion
b) clicking 'share' on a banal piece of Hallmark verse

Thank god all my FB friends are literary snobs.

diddl · 31/08/2013 18:29

The thing is, even if you think it's lovely, why would you share it?

It's just crap on FB imo, not a poem especially written by OPs friend & sent to her.

LayMizzRarb · 31/08/2013 18:29

Is Fenella for real?

KateCroydon · 31/08/2013 18:33

YANBU.

Mintyy · 31/08/2013 18:33

I doubt fenella is for real - not with a dodgy username like that.

That poem is naff ... its a bit naff but listen to you lot getting in to a lather and saying you'd defriend anyone who sent you that! If your 'friendship' could be destroyed by something as silly as this then you weren't really friends in the first place.

MayTheOddsBeEverInYourFavour · 31/08/2013 18:33

Oh god I am crying with laughter at pawprint and Nancy's versions Grin

iismum · 31/08/2013 18:34

When my DCs were tiny babies, they definitely spent a lot of time admiring me for my grace. That's exactly what small babies are all about.

Rooners · 31/08/2013 18:36

Yikes!

catgirl1976 · 31/08/2013 18:39

It is hideous

Still I'm sure she didn't mean any harm. Perhaps the pg hormones have addled her brain

I actually wouldn't reply to that. I'd just pretend it hadn't happened for everyone's sake :)
