I'm pregnant with # 3 and just got this from friend (also pg) it's a picture of a baby scan with a poem written over it

In tears (of laughter!

Yes I'm a bitch

Admire me for my bloated, swollen cankled grace? Hahahaha. Oh

Mummy, can you feel me?
I'm wriggling just for you.
I can hear you say you love me,
Mum I love you too.

Very soon you'll meet me,
And kiss my tiny face.
And I will feel your warm skin,
And admire you for your grace.

Mummy are you ready?
My life is just about to start.
I will hold your little finger,
But you will hold my heart.

oh i bet her fb status are fun to read Grin

yanbu what a load of sentimental poo

and if she is on here reading it she will know it is not your sort of thing no need to lose a friendship over

Pagwatch · 31/08/2013 14:50

Oh Seaweedy Grin

I was sent that literally about 30 times.
It is the most awful guff.

I hope your friend is doing well. Smile

Scrubber · 31/08/2013 14:52

You are being totally unreasonable to hate garden centres but that poem deserves ridicule! Grin

Nancy66 · 31/08/2013 14:53

I bet she sends all those naff texts on New Year's Eve - especially that 'dance like nobody's watching, laugh like nobody's listening' shit that makes my skin crawl.

Mintyy · 31/08/2013 14:53

Aww, you're all being a bit ol bunch of meanies!

donttellalfred · 31/08/2013 15:00

Mummy can you feel me?
I just kicked you in the foo (foo).
I have no concept of language
And I don't know 'me' from 'you'.

Very soon you'll meet me,
It's true birth can be hell.
You may not be too graceful,
But I won't be able to tell.

Mummy are you ready?
I guess it's time to get me out.
I may not be sentimental
But we two are one, no doubt.

tabulahrasa · 31/08/2013 15:01

Mummy, can you feel me?
I'm wriggling on your spleen.
I can hear you say you love me,
I don't know what you mean.

Very soon you'll meet me,
And kiss my tiny face.
And I will pee on your warm skin,
You'll take it with good grace.

Mummy are you ready?
My life is just about to start.
Say goodbye to sleeping,
and also being thin.

Fixed it Grin

tabulahrasa · 31/08/2013 15:02

aw, one minute quicker and mine would have been first...Sad

Pagwatch · 31/08/2013 15:02

Yeah, I'm a meanie

donttellalfred · 31/08/2013 15:02

Yours is better tho tabulah!

tabulahrasa · 31/08/2013 15:10

Ah mine was meaner though donttell - yours was still nice, I went a bit negative, lol

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 31/08/2013 15:25

Aww, I have no real feelings about garden centres, but I think your friend was just trying to be nice. If I had received it I would have giggled and hit like, not put it on here to make fun of her. With any luck your friend will see this and you won't have to worry about any more naff posts and updates cos she will have blocked you.

Pawprint · 31/08/2013 16:07

Oh dear God - pass the sick bucket.

Mummy, are you puking yet?
You're spewing just for me
So much for morning sickness
Being over by month three

Soon I'll give you piles
And problems with your back
Whilst I just sit there pissing
In my amniotic sac

Soon you'll tear your lady bits
As I'm dragged out of your minge
By a midwife with a hangover
And a pethidine syringe

Mummy are you ready?
For years of broken nights
Mopping sick and dirty nappies
And cleaning up my shite

BalloonSlayer · 31/08/2013 16:16

Grin Pawprint

Icelollycraving · 31/08/2013 16:23

When I was pregnant I got sent those things on Fb & thought they were really sweet. I get it is not your bag,but take it in the spirit it was sent.

EmmaBemma · 31/08/2013 16:26

I think it's naff as all get-out but I also think you're a pretty rubbish friend, taking the piss out of her behind her back.

EmmaBemma · 31/08/2013 16:27

"Mummy, can you feel me?
I'm wriggling on your spleen.
I can hear you say you love me,
I don't know what you mean."

This, on the other hand, is genius.

Alconleigh · 31/08/2013 17:14

This is why I don't have Facebook. If someone I currently like and respect sent me a load of old shite like that I would end up not liking them any more, which would be sad.

Pagwatch · 31/08/2013 17:19

Alconleigh

It's true. I have a lovely relative who sends me awful things.

I've improved it.

Smile

Mummy, can you feel me?
I'm wriggling just for you.
I have to get out quickly,
Because I really need the loo..

Very soon you'll meet me,
And kiss my tiny face.
And I will feel your empty tummy,
That flobs all over the place.

Mummy are you ready?
My life is just about to start.
But be careful what you eat,
I fall over when you fart.

LayMizzRarb · 31/08/2013 17:33

The original poem deserves ridicule. YANBU.

The response poems are genius!

mignonette · 31/08/2013 17:34

Yes your Mummy met you
And kissed your tiny face
And now your Mummy cannot wait
till you have your own place.

Nineteen years have now gone by
Not all of them went fast
I love you now as I did then
But thankful you're my last.

Lethologica · 31/08/2013 17:35

I love the 'imroved' versions. Grin

MmeLindor · 31/08/2013 17:38

YANBU and not at all mean.

Loving the responses.
