to be annoyed that DP cuddles me in his sleep?

OK, I'm not too annoyed really because a) cuddles are nice and b) he's asleep.

But approx every other night at about 3am DP scoops me up in his arms (I am quite small). Sometimes he gets a bit, um, amorous. He is obviously spark-out, completely asleep. As you would think, this wakes me up.

Does anyone else's OH do this and is there a way to stop it? If I gently disentangle myself he doesn't persist, just goes back to normal sleep. It seems similar to sleep-walking in that he is obviously doing the actions but does not intend to/is asleep.

At least he's asleep and doesn't remember your refusals! Mine is awake when he does it, and then complains all day the next day because I said no!

I know, it is cute. But I love my sleep!

Mine does this. Between his sleep humping and the baby waking up I get no bloody sleep.

Would be more upset if it stopped though ;)

The other night I was having a bad dream and I ended up kicking and elbowing him (I thought he was a bent, Cuban policeman ).

It is sweet, but not when it wakes you!

mine has leant not to do so, I get VERY snarly if I am woken up he may have been smacked and told to fuck off, I'm sleeping a few times. He's quite cautious when I'm asleep now.

In what way 'amorous' OP? Are you sure he's asleep?

YANBU. It's not sweet, it's very annoying to be woken up, I'd have to push him away and let him know - in the hope that he might subconsciously stop himself next time!

Sleep with a pillow between you?

My DH does this too although usually just a cuddle and I don't mind. He has been known to do this to unexpecting male friends while sharing a bed on druken nights/ stag dos etc. It is known amongst our frinds as the scoop and grab!

Tmi alert... When I was with somebody who did this with whom I had an insane level of attraction, I naturally responded, half asleep myself. My current partner of 7 years is the most lovely, kind man you could ever meet, but the spark isn't there. I sleep-fight him off and it makes me sad that even my semi conscious self reacts in that way :(

Ugh I HATE this.

I cannot bear skin touching skin when I'm sleeping, even my own! I sleep in a weird position with a pillow between my thighs so that no skin touches another piece of skin.

When OH does his best koala impression, he gets a swift shove in the ribs and sometimes an elbow to the stomach. If that doesn't work, I very nicely (read: not very nicely at all) tell him to fuck off. If he is still asleep (he is a very heavy sleeper) I roll him out the bed completely. He whacked his head of the bedside table twice before his subconscious decided the cuddles at night were not worth the pain!

my dp does this too!! it is sweet but also bloody annoying when it's the middle of the night and you're getting up early the next day!!!

I wake up clinging to the edge of my bed with my dh cooried into my back, causing me to sweat like a sweaty thing.

lol I really hated that. I don't get this sleeping together in a 'double' bed. How is that double? Hate it! urgh.... Bad enough having to listen to snoring, let alone not being able to stretch out!

(unashamed boast) I have a 5ft bed all to myself... :) it is the only way to sleep. Actually, considering my ex, I would have liked a whole house to myself :)

I get cuddled but luckily no humping when he's asleep! I love it. If I'm not asleep already it sends me into a deep sleep straightaway

My dh likes to cuddle when falling asleep but I don't so feel bad. I do get woken up by random cuddles and 'other' stuff occasionally but generally push him off lol. He also snores In my ear when hugging me... Which is why I'm still on here as I can't sleep!

My dh does this too. I'm another one that gets really pissy if woken up - when I was pregnant I may have yelled "fucking get off me" and almost shoved him out of bed. Which was BU, I'll allow.

He is not second best! I love him and I didn't love the other guy. It just makes me sad that I've fallen in love with a good looking man but there isn't a chemical, deeply physical attraction that I had with the guy whom I dated for 6 months (I broke it off because he loved me and I didn't him, which to me is a worse 'second best' than mismatched sexual desire). Sorry to sound defensive but I'm already sad that this should be so.

Relationships are built on much more than physical attraction (though that is importnsnt of course!)

DP does this. He also tries to hold my hand in his sleep and if he can't reach it, he'll just grope my arm until he finds it, haha.
