to be annoyed that DP cuddles me in his sleep?

OK, I'm not too annoyed really because a) cuddles are nice and b) he's asleep.

But approx every other night at about 3am DP scoops me up in his arms (I am quite small). Sometimes he gets a bit, um, amorous. He is obviously spark-out, completely asleep. As you would think, this wakes me up.

Does anyone else's OH do this and is there a way to stop it? If I gently disentangle myself he doesn't persist, just goes back to normal sleep. It seems similar to sleep-walking in that he is obviously doing the actions but does not intend to/is asleep.

Nothing is more guaranteed to make me ragingly angry than waking me up before I'm ready to be awake. Obviously ill children waking me is an exception but being woken for no reason AngryAngry

Casanunda · 29/08/2013 08:03

My DW does this...she is possibly menopausal, and therefore kicks out more heat than a blast furnace. It gives me The Rage, and we end up playing 'chase' all over the bed!

MadderHat · 29/08/2013 08:11

My DH does this too, and his usual reason is that in his dreams I wanted a cuddle. I can object loudly, and he moves away but is still asleep enough to not remember in the morning. I am usually too sleepy to wake up enough to make sure he's awake fully to receive my ire so it perpetuates. I am grumpy the next day due to tiredness, too.

TiredDog · 29/08/2013 08:13

I wish this happened to me. I lie alone in my bed most nights

AhoyAhoy · 29/08/2013 08:52

I miss those days when we were still in the honeymoon period and I wasn't a 7 month pregnant whale. My husband would very gently, very amourosly wake me up.... lovely midnight/ early morning treat.

Really excited about being a mother, but I am already mourning the loss of elements of my pre-pregnancy life.

Mojavewonderer · 29/08/2013 09:05

I get a tit grab in the night...most of the night!
We start to cuddle as we go to sleep and then as we drift off we separate but he always cups my breast ;) love my husband to bits and he loves my boobs!

Whereisegg · 29/08/2013 09:34

Ha ha!
My dp loves to snuggle in bed, I HATE it.
His arms and legs are really heavy and he's just so hot, I can't sleep like that.

In fact, I have even told him that touching sleeping women is something that can get you arrested Grin

Sallyingforth · 29/08/2013 09:45

My DP does the same, but I do it as well. If I have a dream about him I instinctively cuddle up. He doesn't seem to mind bless him but then it often leads to some soft gentle loving.

farrowandbawl · 29/08/2013 10:39

Awww, that is one of the things I miss most.

mrspremise · 29/08/2013 10:50

My DH wakes me up to ask if I'm asleep Grin

Mine works nights and sleepy cuddles on his night off are my best thing...

sparechange · 29/08/2013 10:54

Moja I get the same!
And if I roll over in the night, he will swap the cupped boob

hettienne · 29/08/2013 10:58

I hate being cuddled in bed, he's learnt not to do it. Quite often he falls asleep cuddling a pillow in between us now!

Also he snores so I quite often have to yell at him to roll over. No chance of sleepy amorous advances here Grin

I actually dream of having my own room...

MalcolmTuckersMistress · 29/08/2013 11:04

When my eyes are shut I BE SLEEPING! Mine does this too and it drives me mad. My bed is for sleeping not sexing. Sex is far more fun anywhere else but bed! (Not including hotel beds btw...hotel bed sex can be wildly exciting!)

fridayfreedom · 29/08/2013 11:15

I hate being touched when I am asleep, DH still hasn't got it and gets grumpy when I push his hand away. Am eying up DD bed when she hopefully goes to Uni next year.

lottieandmia · 29/08/2013 11:16

Put a pillow between you so that he hugs that instead Wink

whois · 29/08/2013 13:41

He has been known to do this to unexpecting male friends while sharing a bed on druken nights/ stag dos etc. It is known amongst our frinds as the scoop and grab!

Verry funny!

I can recomend a super-king bed for reducing the amount of night time scoops.

Edendance · 29/08/2013 14:28

Oh my word! It's happened to me two nights ago! I really love cuddling to sleep, I cuddle him to start then when I start to drift off we roll over and do spoons (I'm little spoon). But if I can't sleep I go onto my back and hope that he stops cuddling a little so I can get comfy to sleep.

The other night he started being all feathery strokes which I love but it was too tickley! So I'm trying to relax and he's going all tickley, sexy. I almost cried! I'd been trying to get to sleep for what felt like hours! I asked him if he remembered the next day he said he sort of had... Not cool.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/08/2013 15:31

aww its sweet

i was with my dh for 19years and we always had a cuddle/sex and then slept back to back not touching, if he rolled over and flung an arm over me i would fling it back - i like my own space

with my new oh he always cuddles me and i love it and snuggle into him and its so weird that im so different with him

dont understand it at all tbh Hmm

carlajean · 29/08/2013 15:48

I always know the Autumn's arrived when this happens. I like it - preferable to sleeping back-to-back like when it's hot. This all reminds me of the episode of Friends when Ross (?) Was being shown how to hug (for her) then roll away (for him)
