I have a lot to do in the day, I wake up at 5am for work start at 7am till 3pm. Then it the usual housework dinner spending time with DC and DH.

I tend to take them out everyday, so normally home for 6:30ish then it bedtime routine ect.

Just had a knock on the door waking DD up all for a sodding kleanezee booklet ( she said this is the 4th time she has called)

Aibu to think you don't knock people door this time of night.

Hope DD goes back to sleep soon.

God, yes, I hate that. I don't ask them to put the bloody thing through the door, don't expect me to know or care where it is a week later.

And I don't want any mops.

EvieanneVolvic · 21/08/2013 21:42

Hear fucking hear.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 21/08/2013 21:43

They drive me mad. I have a policy now of just throwing them in the bin. This does not go down well, but I think it is quite reasonable - if you post junk through my door don't expect it back.

Who buys this stuff? You can cheaper and better stuff elsewhere.

missmapp · 21/08/2013 21:43

This drives me mad- you don't want the thing and then they moan at you if you cant find it!

we just leave ours outside now, it is the only way not to be annoyed by them calling.

Sparklingbrook · 21/08/2013 21:44

I just stick it out the front to save them knocking.

ageofgrandillusion · 21/08/2013 21:44

I bin em, i bin anything like that in fact. Pain in the fucking arse.

solveproblem · 21/08/2013 21:44

I hate these stupid catalogues!

Don't put things through my door and then expect it back. I will most likely not read notes attached to advertising so these will end up in the recycling.

CaptainWonderPants · 21/08/2013 21:45

As soon as it gets posted, I throw it back on the doorstep. We chucked one in the bin once, guy came for it and got a bit nasty, till DH told him to sod off.

AKissIsNotAContract · 21/08/2013 21:45

Is that the one that has the giant slipper you put both feet into? YANBU, it's shit

MelanieCheeks · 21/08/2013 21:45

9.30 isn't that late. We've just had the new phone book delivered.

McNewPants2013 · 21/08/2013 21:46

It's full of over price crap.

I am so frustrated, just sat down to a nice cup of tea, hoping for an early night as DS who don't sleep is at my MIL ( that women deserves the world biggest medal) now no doubt I will be up for hours.

Thesouthernwindisblowing · 21/08/2013 21:46

We always put the straight outside after finding they ring the doorbell late evening. Since doing this they have never been collected and we have to chuck the soggy mess away a week later.

HorryIsUpduffed · 21/08/2013 21:46

Each catalogue costs them at least £2. I'd bloody knock (although not four times).

We get the odd thing - their silicon baking paper is the best I've tried, for example.

EvieanneVolvic · 21/08/2013 21:47

Yes someone got shirty with me once when I couldn't find it saying he'd had to pay for it. (Don't which company it was). Well more fool him for being suckered into a company who make you pay for the privilege of pyramid selling working for them.

FoundAChopinLizt · 21/08/2013 21:47

I just tell them to take me off the list if I ever get one delivered.

McNewPants2013 · 21/08/2013 21:48

I would put it on the door step but next door dog goes into my garden as my gate don't shut and I wouldn't want him chewing on the plastic cover.

I don't mind the dog and NDN do clean any mess up.

NonnaMai · 21/08/2013 21:50

YABU. I hate them but they are some bodies livelihood. It's really mean to throw them away.

It doesn't hurt to pop them straight back outside. Or stick one of those labels on your door saying you don't want catalogues etc.

EvieanneVolvic · 21/08/2013 21:52

There is a clear polarisation building up here between people who do something reasonable like put them outside or keep them safe until collected and miserable feckers like me!

storminabuttercup · 21/08/2013 21:53

I always lose them. I used to look at them, they are full of things you never realised would be the slightest bit useful.

A bit like Lakeland. Everyone raves about it on here, I made 2 purchases and they've posted out a whole rainforest worth of bumf to me.

You know those oven liners? Bout 15 quid?? TWO POUNDS in home bargains!!

Never again.

Smoorikins · 21/08/2013 21:54

I agree with NonnaMai.

Yes, they are annoying. No, I don't want one. But I am very grateful for the fact that I haven't had to resort to putting catalogues through people's doors hoping for orders, in order to pay my rent and feed my children.

Locally they usually put them in a plastic bag, which can be left outside the door for them to collect. Helpfully, they usually state when they will be returning to collect them as well.

Sanctimummy · 21/08/2013 21:54

I chuck em back out on the doorstep straight away. and trample over it with wet muddy feet every time I go out

MarcelineTheVampireQueen · 21/08/2013 21:55

God I got suckered into doing those catalogs one. 140 quid for me to traipse around in the fucking rain while some spotty teen who was supposedly my "mentor" would harrass me with calls and impromtu visits to the house to encourage me to sell!!! till I gave him back the books and told him shove them up his hole...

Bin em!!!

McNewPants2013 · 21/08/2013 21:55

NonnaMai I respect that it is someone trying to make some money.

At the same time I don't want people knocking on my door waking up my DC for a sodding booklet.

FirstStopCafe · 21/08/2013 21:56

I find them really annoying too. I try to keep them safe but no one ever seems to come and collect them so I end up binning them weeks later

Smoorikins · 21/08/2013 21:56

Op, if you left it outside they wouldn't have to knock...
