AIBU to be creeped out by this toilet seat?

Hi everyone, this is my first AIBU so please go gently on me!

Recently our toilet seat has broken and needs to be replaced. I've been looking online for toilet seats (would prefer a patterned one - our current one has picture of fish on it).

Anyway I thought I'd have a quick squiz at the toilet seat selection on Tesco and have found this:

OMG, I've still got that page up and am convinced it won't stop staring at me (with it's black souless eyes)!

Does anyone else think it looks creepy (or is just me - probably is, LOL).

Disclaimer - doesn't help in the creepiness factor that I've been slowly reading through an old creepy things that happened to you' type thread on MN.

And the barbed wire one's are worse.

Just get a nice normal plain toilet seat.....it's not a fashion accessory

Ha ha, glad it's not just me. It got even worse when I discovered the 'zoom photo' on that page! Asked DH what he thought - another 'yep, it's creepy looking' from him. Well, at least I've narrowed our toilet seat selection down by 1.

Thanks TheFantasticFixit for your kind comment. TBH Sanctimummy, no not really as due to health problems I'm in the house and don't have friends due to severe anxiety. But why do you need to be that nasty? I'm a new poster so still feeling my way round here but people like you put me off posting and now I'll probably go back to lurking.

NakedPanpipelady - sadly, some people come onto forums to be nasty in order to make themselves feel better. It's somewhat ironic that this poster has questioned you on how interesting you life is when clearly there is so little filling theirs that they feel the want to post nasties on an innocuous thread. Fortunately posters like that are few and far between.
