...to fancy the bloke playing Richard in the White Queen?

Yes I know he looks like Edward Scissorhands, but my goodness I would, given half a chance. Perhaps he appeals to my inner goth, I dunno. Am I alone on this one?

Oh ffs that baby is just in the way. Very attention-seeking imo.

BeckAndCall · 13/08/2013 08:11

Woah - lots of like minded folk here.

Anyone else think that if Laurence Olivier had looked like that someone would have given him a damn horse?

Unfortunately, I really am old enough to be his mother. (At least with Richard Armitage there is less than a two decade gap!)

MistressDeeCee · 13/08/2013 08:14

He's made The White Queen a whole lot more interesting..age aside & given half a chance...I sooooo would!

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 13/08/2013 08:18

I think it's ok to perve after a younger man in my own head. It's not likely I'll ever actually meet him and if I ever did, age wouldn't be a factor as I'd be sounding like a complete loon who couldn't string a sentence together (I have form for this). Grin

Tiredemma · 13/08/2013 08:25

I agree about the baby. What a distraction.

Elsiequadrille · 13/08/2013 10:32

I agree with Tired about Henry Cavill. He was in I Capture the Castle years ago, too (thought I recognised him whilst watching Tudors).

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 13/08/2013 12:12

Henry Cavill is the new Superman. Yummy!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 13/08/2013 12:15

Hello
faints

orangeandemons · 13/08/2013 13:30

I wish that was our baby ( mine and my lovely Richard)

Taranta · 13/08/2013 13:41

What's with this Cavill interloper? Im afraid he's a bit too trad for my tastes. three brothers David Oakes reminds me of a younger James Purefoy...

OP posts:
Taranta · 13/08/2013 13:43

Really not fussed about the Cavill six pack thing, think I quite like the fact that Barnard is clearly going to get a bit soft round the middle into his thirties...

OP posts:
LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 13/08/2013 13:52

He can go soft around my middle if he likes.
snurk

AnathemaDevice · 13/08/2013 13:55

He's only 6 years younger than me, that's ok, right?

His loveliness makes up for the fact that the usually lovely Arthur Darvill looked awful in the most awful, cheap looking wig, and was only in 2 episodes.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 13/08/2013 14:00

It's all ok inside your own head Anathema, though obviously 18+ is the decent minimum age.

If you are the kind of person who is likely to act out your fantasies, given an opportunity, it's probably best to stick to your own age group.

Watching a nice young man being actually chased down by someone old enough to be his granny isn't an edifying sight for any of us..... Smile

But in your own head, dream on, I say.

AnathemaDevice · 13/08/2013 14:26

Old enough to be his granny? I'm only 32!

Incidentally, I noticed I was so disturbed by Arthur Darvill's wig that I used the word awful a bit too much. It was horrible though.

Elsiequadrille · 13/08/2013 14:34

Pfft. Six years is absolutely fine

Tiredemma · 13/08/2013 14:34

Taranta. Thanks for that pic of the three sons of York leaning over the feasting table.

I lost myself for a moment and had a vision of myself lain across said table, naked, waiting to be devoured in order of importance (starting with Edward of course). I only snapped out of it as I imagined myself further trussed up like a pig with an apple in my mouth.

The mind does wonderful things......

ToysRLuv · 13/08/2013 14:45

DH just busted me looking at the picture Grin

"Yooo fancy hiiiiim!", he piped up. Oh dear. I feel like a teenager. Blush

Jesus Christ.

orangeandemons · 13/08/2013 14:56

George reminds me of Rik Mayall.

Richard is diviiiiine..

Flobbadobs · 13/08/2013 15:03

Is that pic of him with the baby from Citadel? I think my ovaries just did a backflip...

Tiredemma · 13/08/2013 15:07

Yes it's from Citadel. I'm infatuated.

Tiredemma · 13/08/2013 15:14

I don't care for George much. But wouldn't kick either of the other two out of bed

Taranta · 13/08/2013 20:42

Less than ten years is perfectly age gap wise, I would say. It'd be a 13year age gap in my case. Boo! That said I did have an impromptu fling with a 19 year old when I was 32, but I still recall the panic of wondering just how bad a service gravity was doing me at a certain point in the proceedings. And that was pre DC...

Glad you enjoyed the pic *Tiredemma' lets hope in that parallel universe you wouldn't be too tired after one bro to attend to the second and third...

Here's another one for good measure...

yum

YANBU, I had this exact conversation with a friend over the weekend and I found myself defending Richard as not being involved in the murders. My friend quite correctly pointed out this was only because I was lusting after the actor...

IfIonlyhadsomesleep · 13/08/2013 21:06

Yanbu. I did rather like Edward but considered him to be out of my league. Because obviously Richard III was very much within my range-if I weren't married and 500 + years too late Confused
