Yes I know he looks like Edward Scissorhands, but my goodness I would, given half a chance. Perhaps he appeals to my inner goth, I dunno. Am I alone on this one?

I think I need to retire to my bedroom for a while......

ToysRLuv · 12/08/2013 14:09

Umm.. I prefer this one:

Elsiequadrille · 12/08/2013 14:09

Oh he is rather handsome in that photo.

Elsiequadrille · 12/08/2013 14:10

The second photo (posted by Toys) is very Frodo Baggins.

ToysRLuv · 12/08/2013 14:12

No, it isn't - it's just the hair, which I actually prefer to the long

Grin
encyclogirl · 12/08/2013 14:43

Oh my word, that pic. I wonder if he knows about his legion of Mumsnet fans? He is so flippin' gorgeous.

YY to whomever said they are hard wired to respond to dark eyes, dark looks and gravelly voice. Me too x 1000.

encyclogirl · 12/08/2013 14:48

I found him on twitter (not stalking I swear!). He and his Queen tweet each other. That just makes him even more adorable to me.

SilverOldie · 12/08/2013 15:01

He's cute but way too young for me. I'll stick with Alan Rickman. I personally don't think PG has a clue what she's writing about, she made Anne an uber bitch but apparently she spent most of her time in the North and not at court.

This will be shown in the US and it has so many historical inaccuracies, I hope the Americans don't accept it as truth.

Taranta · 12/08/2013 20:33

Egad! Just stumbled upon this ill-advised photograph of the lovely Welsh one. Aneurin does the 1980s. Really not sure it was a good idea, expanse of thigh notwithstanding...

Noooooooo

My eyes

torcat · 12/08/2013 21:44

All 3 of the brothers were gorgeous. First Edward, second Richard, George third. That programme is the highlight of my week. However, from an anal/historical accuracy point of view, they should really have given Richard a hump, now that they found his bones and all and it was proved that he definitely had one.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 12/08/2013 21:58

No no no - that George was minging. So smarmy and try-hard handsome.

A hump would make no difference to the vision of hotness that is Richard Baggins, Dick Baggins, Baggy Dick.... No. Stop now and step away from the wine glass.

Elsiequadrille · 12/08/2013 22:08

Would it have been a visible hump do you think, torcat? I can't remember what they called it when they found him.

ToysRLuv · 12/08/2013 22:38

Scoliosis, it was. So he would have been a bit wonky in the back.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 12/08/2013 22:43

Didn't they say when they found his remains that he had a sideways kink in his spine? So he would have had a higher shoulder but not necessarily a hump? Or was I imagining it?

ToysRLuv · 12/08/2013 22:48

Yes, I think so. Sort of wonky.

Wereonourway · 12/08/2013 22:49

I'm so glad I saw this thread.

I thought Edward was hot, but by gum these last 2 weeks Richard has grown on me, he is edible I think.

And yy to the voice

I've always loved Tudor history and not read that much before then. Love the series, not one for debating correctness myself, it's interesting and thought provoking and has made me wikipedia research more about Richard, Margaret and Elizabeth.

Anyway sod the serious talk, I'm off to perv on Richard on twitter

ColouringInQueen · 12/08/2013 22:54

Love that second photo Grin.. shame it's the last one on sun but hopefully he'll pop up in something else soon!

FrankelInFoal · 13/08/2013 07:12

Yup, I'm sure the pathologists said you probably wouldn't have noticed Richard's scoliosis unless he had taken his clothes off. One shoulder may have been a fraction higher than the other, but he would not have limped/shuffled along.

Tiredemma · 13/08/2013 07:21

That documentary about finding him in the carpark stated that you would only have really noticed his 'hump' if he was naked (oh to see Aneurin naked). It was Shakespeare who really 'laid on the hunch' and portrayed Richard as some kind of vile freak.

I really do not know what I am going to do next week. I may resort to pulling out my 'Tudors' box-set so I can fawn over Henry Cavill again for a while.

Tiredemma · 13/08/2013 07:23

yes please thank you very much twice if you don't mind.
