To share the bath water?

My DH loves a hot bath and I don't so get in after him. Is it normal to share bath water or actually a bit gross?

No idea if it's normal, but it's what I do. There's not enough hot water for dp and me to both have baths on the same night.

Depends how dirty your DH is. I hate having a bath with DH. He has so mic body hair etc (sorry tmi) I usually feel like I need a shower afterwards.

I don't bath to get clean. I bath to indulge in warm water and like DP in with me.

We often share bathwater in our house, mainly because our bath takes about 20 mins to fill, there wouldn't be time for us all to have a bath otherwise!

We are bathwater sharers too. Cleanest goes in first! (So me before DH if he has been for a run)

We all share in this house too, but I make sure the baby and I have the first lukewarm bath, then the other boys get in, finally dh is allowed in and he makes it really hot and dirty on account of being a landscape gardener.

We share, but DH always goes in after me - there' s love for you!!!

Why don't you people shower?

Baths are for when you have muscle ache or when you're pregnant, not for washing. Certainly not for washing in someone else's dirty water.

I usually have three children in with me... Baths are no longer enjoyable

If your DH is a coal miner then might be a bit gross. Otherwise probably OK. I prefer to get in the bath with my DH.

I very rarely have a bath, unless I've go a sore back or an hour to indulge with a book.
I always have a shower and the thought of sharing dirty bath water is just yuk.

I grew up without a shower. Until about 7 me and my DM shared a bath. After she would bath then me after.

Now we have a shower only I bath and love relaxing in hot bubbles.

We always share bath water. Think it is habit as years ago we wouldn't have had enough water to have more than one so you had to share. Did make for an awkward 1st living together moment of 'do you want the bath left' luckily my DH comes from the same village so totally got it.

Never shared bath water in my life.

I did once know a family who used to hop into the bath after each other - sounds absolutely rank if you ask me!

It's your life, but not for me. Yuk. I take a quick shower and, once or twice a week, have a nice long soak in hot water with bubbles and a couple of squirts of baby oil. Bliss.

I don't have a shower, and the hot water comes on for an hour each day in the summer--so if you want a bath, it's first come, first served. I get up early for just that reason!

We have one of those Crodex showers you fit over the taps. The ring snaps quickly if you have high water pressure, but velcro straps alone are fine. There, shower. £15 with free delivery from Amazon.

Gosh no. I'd rather never wash again than share bath water with another person. But then I am pretty anal about stuff like that.

I could never ever do this. And I don't think I'm a very fussy person. But why would you want to have a bath in water that somebody else has already washed in. Gross!

We all bath every day - usually two of us share a bath, most often DH first then DD while I cook dinner - so I get the fresh one once she's in bed, or she'll have a quick on and DH will jump into my water later as I have ridiculously hot baths.
