Have NC-d in case this isn't normal. Naice ham, gluezilla, yoni etc.

Do you wee in the shower? I never used to and would have thought it pretty disgusting. But since having DC things aren't as they used to be & now if I need to, I just go.

pee in shower - always

pee in bath - no

Minifingers · 09/08/2013 15:45

I've been doing it for 47 years and am not aware of it making

  • me ill
  • the shower smell
  • anyone else ill

So I'll be carrying on.

Oh, and I wouldn't want a guest to pee in my shower, but then I don't like sharing a toilet at home either with anyone except family.

WhiteandGreen · 09/08/2013 15:46

Wouldn't admit to it in RL though!

GummyLopes · 09/08/2013 15:48

No.

ZingWidge · 09/08/2013 15:51

kids sometimes pee in the bath water, the little ones can't help it. they get washed and showered off before getting out then I rinse the bath - all good.

they have also done a poo while having a bath or a shower. also been sick in both, especially bath tub plus in kitchen/bathroom sink - not nice, but it happens.
we own and use cleaning products so don't see what the problem is.

shit happens. appropriate? Grin

themaltesefalcon · 09/08/2013 15:53

I don't think I've ever taken a shower in an English house not rented by me, and now I'm exceedingly glad of it.

itsblackoveryonderhill · 09/08/2013 15:54

yes I do, partly for your reason, but also a psychological one, having the water on me makes me feel as though I need a wee.

Oblomov · 09/08/2013 15:55

I remember the big hoo-har in the press when the Big Brother guy admitted doing it. The views ranged from disgusting to doesn't everyone?
Bit like here.

squoosh · 09/08/2013 15:57

I was advised that if you're suffering from cystitis it's a good idea to put some bicarb in your bath water and pee whilst in the bath. As your urethra opens the bicarb is whooshed up to calm the affected area.

ZingWidge · 09/08/2013 16:00

disclaimer : our children have only done a poo in the bath/shower by accident, when little.

but they are actively encouraged to be sick into the bath as it is much easier to aim into than a toilet, and much easier to clean afterwards!

limitedperiodonly · 09/08/2013 16:00

I remember the big hoo-har in the press when the Big Brother guy admitted doing it.

I met him weeks after he'd come out. He was still outraged by it. I just nodded. I didn't want him to judge me.

limitedperiodonly · 09/08/2013 16:03

No, sorry, he hadn't done it but had a big row in the house when several people said they had.

He made an advert for Domestos and shuffled around with Kleenex boxes on his feet

Sallyingforth · 09/08/2013 17:07

Surely the feeling of wee down your legs and onto your feet is uncomfortable?
But you don't do it when you're dry!
If I let it go when the shower is running down my front, I can't feel it at all. There's so much hot shower water compared to the amount of pee that it just gets swept away.
It's probably more hygienic than peeing on the loo, because you are washing the whole area instead of just wiping the pee about with toilet paper.

WilmaFingerdoo · 09/08/2013 17:14

Would never, ever occur to me.

MrsKoala · 09/08/2013 17:22

Would you be happy for a male to stand and wee in your wash hand basin on the basis that he would be rinsing it with soap and water when he washed his hands afterwards. Genuinely interested. Sames goes for the kitchen sink I suppose.

Yes i would be absolutely fine with this. We have had this scenario many times. When you've been for a long day out and everyone is bursting. I would we in the loo or over the side of the bath if dh got to the loo first and DH would go in the sink or shower if i got to the loo first. When i was growing up it wasn't unheard of for mum to be on the loo, dad go in the sink and me in the bidet. I've also gone out and squatted in peoples gardens before if the toilet is engaged and i can't wait. What's the alternative? wet myself? no thanks.

And to the question do i shower after sex, no, and have never been with anyone who does. Wouldn't that be a bit insulting, leaping out of bed to wash after they've touched you? I don't even go to the loo after usually. A wipe with tissue is adequate if it's messy (we do use condoms tho but even when we didn't i never got leakage till about 24 hours after).

magimedi · 09/08/2013 17:29

I pee in the shower. Doesn't bother me at all.

MrsKoala - I don't shower after sex but I always have a wee - as I was once told that you can avoid cystitis by doing so. And we don't use condoms - well past the age of that being necessary. Grin

whois · 09/08/2013 17:40

Wow. I thought my hygiene standards were a bit lax, but I don't approve of weeing in the shower really. I har sometimes, if I've forgotten to go to the toilet first but don't make a habit out of it.

I wouldn't like DP to wee in the sink!

MrsKoala the image of your mum on the loo, your dad pissing in the sink and you in the bidet is seriously rats.

Also how can you and your DP not hold on for 2 mins?? If you've waited to get home one of you can wait 2 more.

whois · 09/08/2013 17:42

I don't shower after sex usually but I ALWAYS go to the toilet.

You avoid a UTI, plus we don't use condoms so its really nasty having cum dribble out later. Yuck.

melika · 09/08/2013 17:46

TMI everyone! Blush

MrsKoala · 09/08/2013 17:53

Whois - even if i went to the loo straight after sans condom sex the cum would not dribble out for 24 hours, usually the next day when i am talking to a colleague and sneeze i would suddenly do this face Shock and have to run to the loo.

and no you can't wait, you are home and know the opportunity is there and just can't hold it anymore.

I'm a bit of a camel and only ever go 2-3 times a day (i used to not even go in the morning till about lunch time and never needed to get up in the night when pregnant). But after a bad birth i was double incontinent, my physio told me that i had spent so many years ignoring the messages that i needed a wee that i now couldn't recognise them till it was too late. So now i have to make myself go every 2 hours whether i need to or not. I think it stemmed from going to a CM who only allowed 2 wees a day at a set time from 1-8 years old. i just got used to distracting myself i suppose.

squoosh · 09/08/2013 17:54

Loving all the vivid imagery!

whois · 09/08/2013 17:56

when i am talking to a colleague and sneeze i would suddenly do this face and have to run to the loo

Funny :-)

soontobeslendergirl · 09/08/2013 17:56

I grew up with 9 of us in the house and 1 toilet and no-one ever had to pee in the sink/bath/bucket or the garden Shock. Seriously what is up with you people!??!?

MrsKoala · 09/08/2013 18:00

ExH was one of 4 and they had only 1 loo, but his brother has ibs and would spend hours in there. Believe me when i say the garden was absolutely necessary sometimes and often there was even a queue for that.

MrsKoala · 09/08/2013 18:04

oh and here's some sage advice - Never try to pee in a pint mug in your kitchen after a knee operation, you will pee way more than a pint and while your friend is scrabbling round for another receptacle she will slip in the overflow and you will both fall in it laughing and end up laying in a puddle of wee.
