TantrumsAndBalloons · 25/07/2013 08:43

Background info.
yap is apparently yes.
Like kk is ok.

I also hope this is a wind up.

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 25/07/2013 08:45

I saw a shop in North London yesterday called Sam Widge Grin

We said no pets until DD was old enough to take some responsibility for them.

Is bug in jar woman the same as hamwidge woman?

mystaplerisevil · 25/07/2013 08:46

best you don't get any pets then op

YouStayClassySanDiego · 25/07/2013 08:46

Yes empress

ChubbyKitty · 25/07/2013 08:47

Another of life's problems that could be solved with a cat. £5 a week for my pair. And they groom themselves.

And I might be shamelessly marking my place.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 25/07/2013 08:49

There used to be a sandwich bar in my local city called Mr Sam Widges.

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 25/07/2013 08:50

Brilliant. So the wasp, miraculously recovering from its bath of red wine but with the red now disguising its waspness, struggled to consciousness only to be mistaken for a bug, caught and put in a pot....

Hah!

ladyjadie · 25/07/2013 08:58

Nope. Too soon for another pettel thread. Like those simples or go compare adverts, first one was vaguely amusing. Two so close together is like a club yourself in the headwidge

Club
Head
Club

Hmm
DowntonTrout · 25/07/2013 09:02

God help us!

I can't be drawn back into this parallel universe.

Yap!

SoupDragon · 25/07/2013 09:46

This was mildly amusing the first time round. Now it is just dull and predictable.

Back so soon pettel?

VanitasVanitatum · 25/07/2013 10:05

Rolf? You have a laughing floor? Or is that the bug's name.. ?

WorraLiberty · 25/07/2013 10:09

I agree with Malcolm

These threads are silly, not funny.

Xihha · 25/07/2013 10:26

what the hell was the point of all this? its a bug in a jar, its not like she went and caught a snake and tried to keep it in her lunch box!

Pettel, get your daughter some robotic fish, then she can pretend they are real! Alternatively my dd's 4 and has newts, they take next to no effort to look after (just feed once every 2-3 days and clean occasionally) she looks after them herself.

Some of my posts have been deleted, I didn't say anything rude , goady or untrue Shock yet this whole stupid bloody thread is still here.

I'm totally with TotallyBursar on this.

MalcolmTuckersMum · 25/07/2013 10:58

Totally - I think I might love you. Completely brilliant post and I 100% agree with all if it.

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 25/07/2013 11:01

What kind of bug was it?

That's really important.

Ladybirds like greenflies (so get some more pots and catch some of those bad boys)

Whereas flies eat their own spew.

Most bugs only live for a few days anyway. I'd set him free and get her a hamster instead. Much less faff.

YouStayClassySanDiego · 25/07/2013 11:04

waist deep piles of liquid shit , so true! Grin

rosepettel hope you read that before it's zapped!

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 25/07/2013 11:06

Sorry, just caught up.

i can sympathise.

My dd is dog-obsessed at the mo. But i neither want a dog nor can i get one as i live in a block of flats with no garden.

So i let her make a little dog-project book. We watched doggy films, watched clips on youtube, Googled how to care for pet dogs, visited the park and stroked various doggies (with owner's permission of course), dd did sketches of dogs, she wrote little stories about them etc etc.

So i clipped it all together and put it in a folder. Now whenever she starts whinging about wanting a dog, we get out her little dog-project, give it a look, and discuss again why we can't have one.

Might be worth a shot?

(replacing the dog with bugs of course)

Oldraver · 25/07/2013 11:10

I've just taken delivery of 5 little bugs......caterpillars. They dont have names yet.

Get her some, not much to do, she gets to look after them for a few weeks then release as butterflies.

rosepettel.....Is English not you're first language ?
