TidyDancer's bridezilla thread part 2

1000 replies

TidyDancer · 24/07/2013 23:22

New thread. :)

OP posts:
SusuwatariToes · 26/07/2013 22:23

Eaglerider, I always read it as Son of a(The?) Bitch eX Husband.

HooverFairy · 26/07/2013 22:34

Tidy, you sound like a lovely friend. If I was in your position I think I would have told my 'friend' where to get off and then ignored her indefinitely, what the hell is it about weddings that makes women think they can be so unreasonable and spoilt? I absolutely hate weddings, they bring out the worst in everyone even afterwards. I currently have relatives who will not speak to me because I didn't put in enough effort with them, I was 9months pregnant at their wedding and I thought I'd done well just to get there and ignore the fact that me and my husband were crammed onto a tiny table with random people who didn't know each other and were far away from any of our family. It's a wedding, that's it!

I don't think theses bridezilla types realise that they have to face their guests after the big day, they don't realise that there will be consequences to treating those around them like dirt. And don't get me started on that Confetti website, Christ on a bike, talk about fuelling the fire hun.

balloon slayer awesome gag.

Juniperdewdropofbrandy · 26/07/2013 23:41

Any reply yet?

Beaker345 · 26/07/2013 23:57

I have read this thread, and also the previous thread about the take away , they have been very entertaining. However I think the OP enjoys whipping people into this frenzy and postponing the drama.

FruOla · 27/07/2013 06:49

Well, this has all unfolded over a period of days in an actual RL time frame. The e mails back and forth have, presumably, been dealt with by the OP and the BTB in the evenings when they are not at work and, in the OP's case, probably after her DC are in bed.

SoWorriedPleaseHelp · 27/07/2013 10:36

.

Perish the thought :)

Mind you the support enjoys being whipped, so it's consensual Grin

TidyDancer · 27/07/2013 11:26

I enjoy "whipping people into this frenzy and postponing the drama" do I, beaker?

And how is that exactly?!

Everyone else, no reply yet. Not sure I'll get one but I will certainly let you all know if I do!

OP posts:
TidyDancer · 27/07/2013 11:28

Exactly FruOla. Not totally sure how I could've updated quicker since I have children and a job and have been, you know, waiting on someone else's responses. Grin

Tidy

It appears to be a law of the internet that any forum on any subject will sooner or later attract a troll or an arse.

Please keep us posted as and when you are able

Mimishimi · 27/07/2013 11:45

The OP did just post that she's had no response. Which is very ... disappointing but perhaps the bridezilla did realise she was being very cheeky and is now very embarrassed.

Juniperdewdropofbrandy · 27/07/2013 11:54

Frigging hell if I relied on Mumsnet to whip me into any sort of frenzy then I'd be seriously searching for my life Hmm

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 27/07/2013 12:12

Well I'm sitting on the sofa in pyjamas so I haven't quite reached a frenzied state yet!

TidyDancer · 27/07/2013 12:21

I will update if she replies, I promise. And I will be here as soon as possible to let you all know! Wink

OP posts:
GingerBlondecat · 27/07/2013 12:32

Lol. I've checked this once a day, since. I somehow doubt I'm at a 'frenzy' Grin

Want bets on how often beaker has checked lol Smile

Flowers TD

clam · 27/07/2013 13:35

I don't reckon she will respond directly actually. She's probably complaining to all and sundry about how rude tidy's been in letting her down and she'll hear third-hand in a week or two.

Notafoodbabyanymore · 27/07/2013 13:41

I'm so frenzied that I haven't slept properly as this story has unfolded, my house is a tip and my hair looks like shit.

Of course, that's all your fault OP, and nothing at all to do with the fact that I have a 3 year old and a 3 month old. and I'm lazy

TidyDancer · 27/07/2013 13:57

Happy to be an excuse, Notafoodbabyanymore!

Hahaha, cheers Tidy.

Do you reckon she'll write back?

TidyDancer · 27/07/2013 14:46

Tbh, I don't know. Even after her misunderstanding and rudeness with the save the dates, I didn't see this fiasco coming so I'm not sure I'm a good judge of her really!

OP posts:
Beastofburden · 27/07/2013 15:06

Yes yes to being consensually whipped into a frenzy.

Shouldn't you be selling advertising space, tidy?

Confetti owes you an introduction fee, at the very least.

(Irony alert)

youarewinning · 27/07/2013 15:17

Oh dear - TD is whipping me up into a frenzy? Wish you'd told me sooner - I hadn't noticed Hmm

tidy you've just posted for advice and it's one of those thread where people are actually interested because the subject is undeniable rude and doesn't even appear to notice. Your replies have been pretty normal and factual. The rest of us however has gorn a little limerick and poetry mad and had a right OTT giggle.

Summerblaze · 27/07/2013 15:25

The confetti website is making me feel stabby.
