QuickQuickSloe · 25/07/2013 21:14

I am not marking my place, I thought I left my coat here.

Glitterkitten24 · 25/07/2013 21:22

Well done tidy, classy response!

[hits refresh hoping gluezilla has replied]

Riddo · 25/07/2013 21:27

Tidy you deserve a big Wine

dontyouwantmebaby · 25/07/2013 21:27

dignified response tidy

your friend from primary school has shown she's not much of a friend really, so what else could you do in the circumstances. despite the hilarity on this thread, and it has been great with all the poetry and stuff, its never nice to experience a so-called friend treating you like this IRL. obviously it did bother you, you've def done the right thing tho.

hope you are enjoying a Wine

TwoCrazyKids · 25/07/2013 21:28

Great response tidy Thanks

Bogeyface · 25/07/2013 21:32

I was a bit Shock at that confetti forum, the are all crazeeeeeeee! I got married 3 years ago, and I was NOT batshit at all! The very idea of going OTT was too tiring, far easier to just say "Yep, bring who you like" and then cater accordingly! We had our budget and our list, and we rang round/emailed asking who would be coming and then organised the wedding we could afford based on those numbers. We had no dropouts, no B list and we could actually afford far more than we thought we could when we initially made up the list.

Oh and for the record, decorating the room was really nice. Me and my best friend/MOH did it between us and had a couple of drinks on the go. Was very relaxing! Unlike an hour before the ceremony where the plan of us sipping champagne from specially bought crystal flutes ended up being us sharing a mug of warm chardonnay whilst she and I got our dd's into their BM dresses :o

Notafoodbabyanymore · 25/07/2013 21:40

Brilliant response Tidy, well done. Measured, calm and no hint of anger or bitterness.

I hope you get an apology, but I won't hold my breath. I know it's all been fun, but I reckon I'd feel pretty shitty if a friend treated me like this. Hope it hasn't upset you too much.

onedev · 25/07/2013 22:10

Excellent response - I really hope she realises how hurtful she's been. Enjoy your wine Wine

waltermittymissus · 25/07/2013 22:11

Great response Tidy!

Hopefully, if she didn't really realise, she will now!

PS: I feel like some sort of pageant entrant with my votes Grin

scarletforya · 25/07/2013 22:17

Good work Tidy!

I expect there's a backstory with Gluezilla and this wedding which will ooze out over the months and years ahead. I'll bet the 'A List' will be nowhere to be seen when if the shit hits the fan. Hmm

WhatchaMaCalllit · 25/07/2013 22:25

I've read the first thread & finally managed to get up to date on this thread. Well done Tidy. Classy & yet to the point. Don't forget to give us an update if Gluezilla gets back to you, ok?

GoofyIsACow · 25/07/2013 22:25

I found you all! Excellent response Tidy et al :)

MojitoMagnet · 25/07/2013 22:26

good, dignified and mature response.
I really hope you get a massive apology, bunch of flowers, and thanks from gluezilla for helping her to snap out of self-centredness and remember about other people's feelings.

ChippingInHopHopHop · 25/07/2013 22:26

I can't wait to see her reply!!

eccentrica · 25/07/2013 22:44

dontyouwantmebaby · 25/07/2013 22:46

aaah bogeyface that sounds really lovely, you def had the right idea!! Smile

oohdaddypig · 25/07/2013 22:56

Just marking my place addicted to thread

Thought your response was perfect. Wondering if message might get through her clearly inches thick skull

Betternc4this · 25/07/2013 23:19

I think you and the other nineteen not good enoughs uninvited ought to get very pissed, get dressed up to the nines, big hats, the lot and gatecrash the wedding , bursting in just at the crucial 'does anyone know any lawful impediment ' singing a very loud drunken rendition of 'It should've been me'.

Or better still do you know anyone who has just had a baby, who could sweep in dramatically carrying the newborn and wailing inconsolably 'What about me ? How could you ? etc etc '

Not quite as dignified as you OP I'm afraid but it's your own fault suggesting we all drink wine Grin

sweetiepie1979 · 25/07/2013 23:19

That was a good response. I do hope she realises she's been a dick though. Well done tidy

ZillionChocolate · 25/07/2013 23:30

Good response Tidy.

Juniperdewdropofbrandy · 25/07/2013 23:30

Excellent response Tidy.

Bogeyface your wedding sounds great. I'm planning to have a small wedding with us and our dcs only in a lighthouse then have a big party knees up back home.

nilbyname · 25/07/2013 23:34

Very good reply.... Now we wait!!!

OhTheConfusion · 26/07/2013 00:00
