New thread. :)

OP posts:
CeliaFate · 25/07/2013 19:23

Excellent response, TidyDancer.

SarahAndFuck · 25/07/2013 19:23

Well done Tidy. Lets just hope this is a fit of wedding madness and she comes to her senses sooner or later. Whether the friendship continues or not it would be good for her to realise just how badly she's handled this.

Enjoy your wine Wine.

SoleSource · 25/07/2013 19:25
Thanks
pigletmania · 25/07/2013 19:29

That's fantastic tidy, very good response, she has to know what a shit she has been. You value your friends, shame its not reciprocated from her!

AlfalfaMum · 25/07/2013 19:29

Good answer Tidy.

I anticipate you will get a whole hearted apology in response.

mistlethrush · 25/07/2013 19:30

I think I lost a message on the first thread suggesting that you arranged to meet all the non-invited guests, took along something to drink and let your children do the decorations...

However, I think that your response was very apt in the circumstances!

Dinosaurdrip · 25/07/2013 19:36

Fab response tidy, You are certainly being far more restrained than I could ever be.

CalamityJ · 25/07/2013 19:37

Perfect response Tidy. Not rude but to the point. Do keep us informed if she replies!

magimedi · 25/07/2013 19:38

Tidy - I think your reply was so dignified & succinct.

I would have been so tempted to send one of the poems, or go with Tweed's solution (tell her you'll do it & not turn up).

You have stuck to being polite & have therefore, kept the moral high ground.

I am so sorry that a really long standing friend can do this to you.

Flowers & Wine

FruOla · 25/07/2013 19:40

Really AlfalfaMum? Shock

I suspect Gluezilla's reply will still be outraged by Tidy's refusal to help.

Ilovemyself · 25/07/2013 19:42

Can't believe I go away for a few hours and another 10 pages appear lol

AKissIsNotAContract · 25/07/2013 19:43

Nice reply Tidy.

Incidentally I got banned from the confetti forums. They accused me of trolling. I wasn't trolling, I was just having a laugh at some of the daft bridezillas on there

SybilRamkin · 25/07/2013 19:45

Epic! Well done Tidy. Let us know what she says in reply!

Now have some Wine!

clam · 25/07/2013 19:49

Prediction: "Oh, so have I hacked off anyone important else?"

claudedebussy · 25/07/2013 20:04

well i think you've taken the higher ground and well done.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 25/07/2013 20:08

I think it might be this Confetti thread, MyNameisMsKane.

EagleRiderDirk · 25/07/2013 20:25

SDTG that thread is phenomenal.

I can't believe someone asked if they could bring their kid
Hmm

SarahAndFuck · 25/07/2013 20:28

I've just taken a peek at the Confetti site.

I think they've found a way to marry (ha!) two of the most contentious issues on MN in one bizarre sounding thread.

Dogs at weddings.

I don't think MN have ever done dogs at weddings, but someone has started a thread about them over on Confetti.

It sounds far too good to be true, so I couldn't bring myself to click on it.

It would be like bunfight-heaven. Except it's a wedding site so they wouldn't have buns, they'd have teeny tiny cupcakes iced in pastel colours and covered in flowers and edible glitter or something.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/07/2013 20:30

AKissIsNotaContract - oh the Blush shame of it being banned from Confetti

Thats worse than being banned from MacDonalds

Grin
SlimePrincess · 25/07/2013 20:47

I think being banned from confetti shows you are a normal, adjusted person. They're a right bunch of whiny divas over there.

I meant to say well adjusted. Not just adjusted :D

RemoteControlledChaos · 25/07/2013 20:50

Crawling out of Lurkers Cave wiping tears of laughter away to say nice one Tidy! Very measured.

PrincessWellington · 25/07/2013 20:55

What a saga!

AlfalfaMum · 25/07/2013 21:01

I don't know fruola... I just can't imagine anyone getting that email and not going, "oh shit, what have I done?!!", and trying to rectify things immediately. Maybe wishful thinking on my part though :). Tidy deserves a massive apology.
