To wonder why on earth people post pictures of themselves on ebay?

Been looking at dresses on ebay and am amazed at the fact that people even model the clothes themselves. Some of the pictures are posed quite provocative and others are just damn right unflattering.
It does not make me want to buy the clothes, am I missing something?

Are they battered dresses? I am aware of a phenomenon where buyers are prepared to pay many £££s for previously enjoyed shoes/footwear.
Is there a big thing being made about the sweat stains or the grimy necks?

Some of them our nice but others are just really quite posed. Ohhh wonder if that's what it is. How perculiar?

More,ahem, candid shots sell , for instance, any used female clothing with sexy in the title, much better. Once you've found a good example, check the sellers other items. Quite illuminating. Wink

The last two look to me like they couldn't be bothered to take photos of the dress to sell and so just found a previous photo of them wearing the dress and used that instead.

At least there are no faces!! The slutty one actually looks quite good if that's what you like. Reminds me of kat slater from Eastenders. Not my thing but not a bad figure. Maybe they think the clothes look better on than draped over a hanger?

The best one I've seen recently was someone selling packs of tesco pants, huge granny ones. They were modelling them in suspenders and, bizarrely, bending over so you had a good view of the back. They were just plain white massive pants, not lacy or anything. And I'm pretty sure they were being modelled by a man. Wish I could find the link, really had to be seen to be believed.

oh, and i think all of the ones in ClaireandGeorge's second post look fine - very realistic

the leather trouser are grim though and perhaps catering for a different market...

Yes usehername they are all normal shaped women as am I but I wouldn't pose on ebay. Just put it on a hanger and take a picture. I just don't think me perfectly normal slightly lumpy body would sell clothes.
