To think that shouting 'don't stare at the skanky garden' and 'it's not as if you have been invited'...

Are going to get your DC invited in to my DC's pool!

It isn't terribly exciting. Just a 10' round one from Argos. Nice to have though!

I welcome all children in it as long as I can have a conversation with their parents!

The last 'conversation' I had with next door was her shouting 'oi,fat cunt' by way if her getting my attention.

I like her DC, my DC are allowed to play with them when out and about but I do not allow them in my garden! I do not allow any children in my garden/pool/under my care that I cannot have a conversation with! AIBU

She's probably reading this now.

If she used the c word she must be a mumsnetter.

Hissy · 19/07/2013 06:38

MammaTJ your deliciou name change might be too long, but OiFatCunt wouldn't...

Just saying..

MNHQ might have a cow though

MammaTJ · 19/07/2013 06:53

Ha ha!! I was looking to NC a while back but was talked out of it...... It does have a certain ring to it though!

Morgause, if she is, I don't care. She likes to think she frightens people, but it doesn't work on me. Grin

Arf at kali saying maybe the lady has bad speaking skills and you might get on if you tried.

'Oi, you fat cunt' is hardly the way to win friends and influence people, is it? I think you might be expecting a little bit much of MammaTJ there Kali - I'm sure she's a very forgiving and approachable woman but we all have our limits.

Mamma I am sorry you have to live around such vile people.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 19/07/2013 06:56

I get nervous sometimea talking to people but somehow manage to avoid verbally abusing them Grin

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 19/07/2013 06:57

I would just call her rude cunt "oi rude cunt."

poachedeggs · 19/07/2013 07:04

I love this thread!

MammaTJ · 19/07/2013 07:07

TheRealFellatio, most people around here are lovely! It is just two familes. One has learnt not to give me abuse, as I once bothered to give some back and may have recorded their efforts to give me grief on more than one ocasion and reported to the HA, the other is this woman. Everyone else is lovely and reasonable and approachable.

Well done Fanjo, what remarkable self control you have. Wink

Ha ha yes maybe she has poor speaking skills like she can only speak in profanities. Poor woman you should be feeling sorry for her really with such a crippling disability.
Maybe drop in later with some flowers and a copy if the Oxford concise dictionary!!
Bless her.

MammaTJ · 19/07/2013 07:24

Oh dear Ledkr I always thought I was full of empathy and suited to my future career as a. Ruse! Sadly, I am realising I am very much mistaken! I shall go shopping immediately!

Buzzardbird · 19/07/2013 07:30

I am always really nervous at the school gate in the mornings. I am going to try really hard today not to call everyone a fat cunt because I want to be their friend. I have learnt on here it may be rude. Who knew?

Buzzardbird · 19/07/2013 07:32

My cunt is going on a low carb diet after this Fred! Shock

yegodsandlittlefishes · 19/07/2013 07:36

Of course YANBU, you can invite whoever you want into your back garden. Just explain it clearly to your family.....It can work as long as anyone else in your family answering your front door to the neighbour's children will be able to distinguish(in years to come) which ones have communicative parents.
Also, would it be confusing for your children if they can play with the rude woman's children outside, but not in their own back garden?
Unfortunately passing rational judgements on others when making decisions can mean your children, in years to come, pass judgement on you.
If you ever get neighbours who are Sign Language users, or whose English isn't brilliant, or who have a speech impediment, your DCs might tell them their children cannot use your pool because you wouldn't be able to have a conversation with them.

Sparklymommy · 19/07/2013 07:38

Such a funny thread!

OP I totally get where you are coming from re not being in charge of children whose parents are not on good terms with you. I feel exactly the same.

We have also just purchased a pool this week. 12 foot type. Every night this week next door neighbours son has been round for a dip but then we get on well with the parents. Would I have a child whose parents were rude and insulting? No. Is this sad for the child? Yes, but they only have their parents to blame!

MammaTJ · 19/07/2013 08:14

My thoughts exactly Sparkly.

As for non English speaking, not likely! There is a rule here that people are not entitled to social housing until they have lived in the area for a year! They should have picked up enough by then!

Deaf- I know enough sign language to get by, would relish the opportunity to use it and learn more!

yegodsandlittlefishes · 19/07/2013 09:30

Grin I don't have rude children or the children of rude parents around either (any more - learned the lesson the hard way) especially when there's a pool involved, as if there were dangerous behaviour that you need to put a stop to, far easier to know you can do it quickly and not worry about the parents taking it the wrong way. The difficulty is that if you have children from rude parents around your children, you end up having to parent them and correct their behaviour and language. It's hard work and you just get insults and more complaints from the rude parents.

Helovesmehelovesmenot · 19/07/2013 09:38

She may have bad speaking skills, but the real issue here is are you fat and are you a cunt if so, she may have a point!!!

Seriously though, why would you let her kids in your pool, it is your pool, and if you are fat you need all the room to yourself!!

I am fat and I would love to come in your pool, (I would wait for all the other fatties to get out so it didnt overflow) and I would not call you names, neither would my kids.

Enjoy your pool and enjoy your garden, she has no place in it.x

MammaTJ · 19/07/2013 11:03

That's it yegodsandlittlefishes, I need to not have things taken the wrong way and when kids fall out, as they do, for it to not excalate in to all out war.

Helovesmehelovesmenot, I am indeed fat. I do not consider myself to be a cunt, although I do have one. I cannot assertain as to whether or not it is a fat one, as I cannot see it due to my fat stomach being in the say. I had assumed the reason I find it hard to find knickers to fit was due to my fat arse, I realise now it could be because of my extremely overweight cunt! I need to put it on a low carb diet, no sausages for my cunt then! Not sure what DP will have to say about that! Grin

OP posts:
diplodocus · 19/07/2013 11:10

What she presumably would have said with better speaking skills would have been "Yoohoo! Obese Vagina!" Said with a Hyacinth Bucket accent.

diplodocus · 19/07/2013 11:12

I can see how that would make it alright.

Ledkr · 19/07/2013 11:15

I'm a little plump but my cunt has stayed the same all these years. It's quite average to look at really and no matter what it eats it stays the same weight which is truly marvellous.
It has a metabolism unlike mine.
It's growing its hair at the moment but I'm trying to persuade it to have a trim, just in this hot weather you know.

ClartyCarol · 19/07/2013 11:16

Sorry to bang on about this, but seriously kali - if someone stood in front of you and called you a 'fat cunt' you would not be offended in the slightest? You would smile politely while reminding yourself that they may have bad speaking skills but they are probably a lovely person underneath that gruff exterior?

Bollocks.

ClartyCarol · 19/07/2013 11:17

Diplodocus Grin

MammaTJ · 19/07/2013 11:41

Ledkr, you seem to have studied your cunt at length! Was it fun? Grin

diplodocus She does not have the speaking skills for that and if she did, of course it would have been fine, her DC would be welcome in my pool anytime though baring in mind the thread about the proper pool and the neighbour taking 'anytime' literally, perhaps I shouldn't say that
