This is the least you can expect?

news.sky.com/story/1114920/bull-runners-gored-in-pamplona-street-fiesta

I really don't understand why anyone would want to do this, not to mention the fear and stress the bulls must go through.

TidyDancer · 12/07/2013 19:28

Absolutely agree.

I'm not sorry to say they deserved what they got.

Latara · 12/07/2013 19:29

If you are doing the Bull Run then you can expect the risk of being gored is pretty high... poor bulls.

sewingandcakes · 12/07/2013 19:30

Serves them right in my opinion. I think it's a stupid anachronistic custom.

LadyBeagleEyes · 12/07/2013 19:31

They know the risks, stupid macho twats.Angry.

KeepYerTitsIn · 12/07/2013 19:32

I'm afraid I'm very glad it happened to the cruel unthinking twats who terrified those poor animals.

wibblyjelly · 12/07/2013 19:32

I bet their medical insurance won't pay out either...

GetStuffezd · 12/07/2013 19:35

No sympathy here! When I was young I saw my dad (a farmer) being crushed against a gate by one of our bullocks. It was awful, he went to hospital with suspected damage to his kidneys. I remember being bloody terrified. Luckily he was fine. But honestly, I can only assume the people who line the streets for the San Fermin festival simply don't understand the weight and power of the bulls.

BellaTalbert · 12/07/2013 19:35

Barbaric animal abuse the runners get everything they deserve

LustyBusty · 12/07/2013 19:41

Did wonder how your OP would pan out... My thoughts were:
You are a plonker/twat/idiot
You deserve to have your innards ripped out and trampled on?
Etc etc. no, YANBU.

HeyIJustMetYou · 12/07/2013 19:42

Could not agree more.

wibblyjelly · 13/07/2013 16:42

And again today. Stupid people...

OP posts:
Chopsypie · 13/07/2013 16:49

I honestly don't understand how they can expect sympathy? I don't want to be gored or trampled, so I don't go. Easy. They obviously know the risks and do it anyway

wibblyjelly · 13/07/2013 16:52

I think they must all be thinking 'it won't happen to me'. Its going to happen to someone though, isn't it?

OP posts:
Whothefuckfarted · 13/07/2013 17:19

I cheer for the bulls, those people deserve everything they get the horrid cunts

lolaflores · 13/07/2013 17:26

I always cheer when the bull wins.

xkittyx · 13/07/2013 17:45

Cruel twats. Fuck them. Poor bulls.

ZZZenagain · 13/07/2013 17:49

if you drink all night before doing that run, you are not quite sane IMO. Luckily none of them seems to be seriously injured. I suppose they do it for the adrenalin charge and they think, ok people can get killed doing this but it won't be me.

apostropheuse · 13/07/2013 17:52

Those poor animals, the terror they experience must be horrific. They then have to be taunted and killed by some morons in the name of "sport".

I have no sympathy for those who were hurt - they are a cruel affront to humanity.

The Spanish government ought to hand their heads in shame for allowing this disgrace to continue.

apostropheuse · 13/07/2013 17:53

hang not hand.

squeakytoy · 13/07/2013 17:56

horrific and barbaric "custom" that should be banned... no sympathy for those who got gored, they deserve it.

cannotfuckingbelievethis · 13/07/2013 17:58

Silly bastards...

SuburbanRhonda · 13/07/2013 17:59

Love the way the crowd were clapping the gored man as he was taken away on a stretcher.

What were they clapping - his bravery? Confused

TylerHopkins · 13/07/2013 18:25

I have no sympathy at all, they deserve it and more if they continue to support this barbaric activity.

If you would like to see an end to this please sign the PETA petition

Pixel · 13/07/2013 21:08

I'm not so bothered about the bull run itself. The bulls are in the position of power and although they must be full of adrenaline I imagine they are more angry than scared. The people who enter the run aren't forced to do it and if they are stupid enough to try it then it's not my problem.
Bullfights on the other hand are sick. Torture for the bull with no chance of escape, I don't see how they can call it a sport.

CuppaTeaForTheBigFella · 13/07/2013 21:55

Nothing on tv this afternoon, and I ended up watching old reruns of Airline. This was actually shown in one of the episodes I saw, though obviously a few years back now.
It looked awful. What a totally crazy and cruel idea. I have no sympathy at all I'm afraid!
