Is it me or do this child's legs look unnaturally skinny - please tell me they're not airbrushing kids' thighs now.

Two out of my three children have legs like that. They're perfectly healthy, matching centiles for height and weight and all that. I tend to think of the other one as a bit chubby but may he isn't!

thebody · 25/06/2013 09:14

It wouldn't supervise me that pics of children are airbrushed but not sure if these are.

PrettyFlyForAWifi · 25/06/2013 09:15

Oops sorry for crap link. It's just that she looks out of proportion which is what made me wonder.

She looks naturally slim that's all. But the left leg certainly looks slimmer than the right so maybe they did

DowntonTrout · 25/06/2013 09:16

I don't think they've been airbrushed. There are slight wrinkles down the sides of the jeans. Airbrushing would have made them smooth.

I think she is just very slim. Some kids are.

Thighs are too narrow for her body.

Not that skinny leggy children aren't normal but why do the airbrushing on a 7 yr old? Eejits.

YoniBottsBumgina · 25/06/2013 09:18

That does look weird to me too. Airbrushing doesn't remove wrinkles on clothes if it's done properly either.

xylem8 · 25/06/2013 09:18

she is slim but not excessively so.

DoctorRobert · 25/06/2013 09:22

Oh god that has so obviously been airbrushed! Yuck.

HeathRobinson · 25/06/2013 09:23

I think she's naturally thin. Look at her collarbones.

HeathRobinson · 25/06/2013 09:24

And her arms, come to that.

I was that thin as a child.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 25/06/2013 09:25

That has clearly been airbrushed, you can tell by the stance it looks totally unnatural.

Her parents, the modelling agency and H&M ought to be ashamed of themselves. Utterly disgusting.

TheRealFellatio · 25/06/2013 09:26

No, I think she just has very skinny legs. Lots of children are like this and they grow up to be willowy and thin. Whereas lots of children who look less spindly grow up to be a bit fat. Grin

broccolirocks · 25/06/2013 09:26

Her nose looks wrong too. No sane reason for company to do this. Based on my children, they'd be better off showing what the clothes look like covered in mud and grass stains.

SoupDragon · 25/06/2013 09:27

Thighs are too narrow for her body.

You can't see how big her body is as she's wearing a loose T shirt and an even looser cardigan.

Her right leg does look disproportionate but that may be the angel, pose or inexpert cropping of the background.

Bunnygotwhacked · 25/06/2013 09:27

my dd has legs like that she is always growing upwards and can't keep her filled at moment but the arms do look like they have been thinned somewhat could be wrong though

SoupDragon · 25/06/2013 09:28

angle. Not angel. FFS.

YoniBottsBumgina · 25/06/2013 09:28

I think her hips have been pushed up because that is the part that looks wrong.

Some children are stick thin but she doesn't look that skinny, her hands look huge in comparison.

Agree the nose is slightly off too. Bizarre.

SoupDragon · 25/06/2013 09:29

What is wrong with her nose??

Saidar · 25/06/2013 09:29

Doesn't look airbrushed. Think she's just slender and healthy looking.

YoniBottsBumgina · 25/06/2013 09:29

They don't airbrush the boys...

YoniBottsBumgina · 25/06/2013 09:31

but normal looking girl (although what is with those poses?)
