egg inside a coconut

ds went on a school trip yesterday.
Apparently one of his friends had a horrible packed lunch 'cos his mum gave him an egg inside a coconut.
After much quizzing ( and admiration of getting an egg inside a whole coconut) transpires it was a scotch egg.
Just thought I'd share as it was cute.

BadgersNadgers · 21/06/2013 09:24

I thought this was going to be a thread about finding the egg of a scary jungle beast inside a coconut. I'm disappointed and relieved at the same time.

ShatnersBassoon · 21/06/2013 09:28

I though it was going to be a with photos, hideous life form in foodstuff shocker too! I was ready to be put off Bounty bars for life.

Scotch eggs are grim though.

quoteunquote · 21/06/2013 09:29

My DD told me the other day that her friend had 'frinkles'...on explanation it turns out to be a sprinkling of freckles! :)

AudrinaAdare · 21/06/2013 10:01

My Mum was baffled by my description of croquettes for lunch at school: potato wrapped up in a fish-finger skin.

IneedAyoniNickname · 21/06/2013 10:10

Haha! Disappointed that this thread doesn't contain instructions on how to get an egg inside a coconut though, my boys would LOVE that!

SarahAndFuck · 21/06/2013 10:18

Oh thank god. I thought this was going to be some kind of horrible spiders nest thread.

KitchenDiscoDancer · 21/06/2013 10:20

My DS was describing a lunch he hated - looks like pizza, sounds like Keith - quiche!

MrsPatrickDempsey · 21/06/2013 10:58

My DD has always called scotch eggs scratchy balls!

anonaibu · 21/06/2013 11:19

This reminds me of my uncle who used to be able to hand me an unpeeled banana, which, when peeled, would turn out to be sliced inside.

I never did work out how he did that.

helenthemadex · 21/06/2013 11:19

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/06/2013 12:53

5Foot5 · 21/06/2013 13:25

As a very small child who had just begun having school dinners, my Mum asked me what I had had that day and I told her that for pudding there was "spewed apples" Yuck!

MummyPig24 · 21/06/2013 13:41

Haha these are cute! My children call fish fingers or chicken nuggets "fishin nuggets". Lasagne is "vasagne" and Rice Krispies "cewul pops"

DeWe · 21/06/2013 14:16

I love it.

I told dm that school dinners was meat in little envelopes. It was ravioli.

quoteunquote · 21/06/2013 16:21
