I can't afford to do most of the things that I used to enjoy, so am trying to find pleasure in everyday things.

Today my mum (who is in the advanced stage of Alzheimers) smiled at me.

I also wrote on a banana skin with a biro

DD telling me a selection of seriously cringeworthy jokes picked up in the playground today.

I picked a world class bogey out of DD's nose today. Ahhhhh, the satisfaction.....

Oh the joy of picking babies' bogies! DD won't let me pick her nose anymore, probably because she is 18.

We had sun today so i got to dry my bedding on the line for a change :) cant wait to get in them tonight, they smell so much better when they have been outside!

And one of the kids at work told me they "really like my face" cheered me up no end

Sniffing my dogs silky ears, they smell like baby hair and fresh air.. She also likes it when I do it, she makes a doggy purring sound.. (Was that a bit too bizarre)?

-Getting into a freshly changed bed straight from having a shower.
-A soak in a hot bubble bath with a good book and a bacon sarnie.
-dancing round the room to the one tune that I can't help but sing to.
-Finding a massive spot on my DH and him letting me at it.
-flopping on the sofa with an icy cold can of lemonade after I've scrubbed the house from top to bottom

• soaking my feet in a bowl of hot water while watching TV
• reading a brilliant book with a family sized bag of Minstrels
• Having lunch in the park in the sunshine

-Snuggling up under a blanket on the sofa with b&w films when it's raining -Spending ages just kissing my DH -What Laurie said!

I like peeling oranges and the squeezing the peel over an open flame on the cooker really fast so sparks fly. Love that.
