I can't afford to do most of the things that I used to enjoy, so am trying to find pleasure in everyday things.

Today my mum (who is in the advanced stage of Alzheimers) smiled at me.

I also wrote on a banana skin with a biro

Making a meal with ds/teaching him to cook. We made burgers yester day, and now he knows how to do it forever.

Fresh bed
A lovely pile of ironing
Picking blackberries (and eating them) and freezing them and making jelly
Making Angel Delight
Making bread
DH playing the piano (ok not exactly free)
Listening to the proms on the radio
A huge pile of new books from the library, some serious but loads of trashy novels too
A walk in the woods

I'm guessing resurrecting zombie threads on MN and seeing how long it takes people to notice is someone's guilty pleasure

Making myself a proper margarita with salt round the rim
Getting an amazing bargain
Clean sheets
Long bath with face pack, hair masque etc
Summer fruit in season
