AIBU?

to think that

After browsing this website for a while, I have come to the conclusion that I must live on a different planet, never have I come across so many people so narrow minded and judgemental.

Every one is so quick to judge and comment on issues that, they clearly have no idea or have ever experience.

And for crying racism, unless you have experiance this, not everything is racist and some things are actually not racist. I do actually know the difference and have been on the receiving end.

Why do people think its ok to verbally attack some one for their point of view, is this not a country that has freedom of speech and that everyone is entitled to have opinion, and not every one needs to agree with it.

So do I live on a different planet, or has the world gone mad because as a working mother of lots of children. I worry for the next generation, that don't seem to have minds of there own and follow aimlessly what they have been told to do.

Though I agree that there are cases when a person needs to be directed in the right direction, it could always be done in a way that is worded nicely and for them nopt to be attacked.

So I don't really care if you agree or not, I am old enough not to actually care and actually have a life that does not revolve around the internet.

But tonight, after having a glass or two of some thing nice. I decided that I would voice my opinion. Feel free to add yours, but to whether I decide to post or even look again, I haven't decided lol

Though one thing for all you who are either ex smokers or have an opinion on people who smoke WIND YOUR NECKS IN, unless they smoke in cars with their children or in the house. Does it actually make a difference if the childs see's you smoke, my children are all against smoking and don't want to, and actually the same with drinking.

How come people don't get that the more that you hide some thing and are not open and honest (age relevant) that it makes it more appealing.

Well I think for the time being that's me done.

I don't think I live on a different planet. I just find myself thinking, 'Christ, there are some wankers on the Internet' whenever I read something I violently disagree with!

Are you the old woman who lived in a shoe? You have so many children you can't count them?

Some people feel really strongly about some subjects, why are you against the freedom of their speech?

Of course it's nice when everyone's supportive and giving flowers to each other, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of viscous debate of a weekend.

For such an outspoken OP, I can't think why you'd be against it? (unless it's been directed towards you and you didn't think you were BU?)

I was going to tell you that your post is completely crap and you are coming across as a total nobber. But then I saw you were old enough not to care so I shan't bother!

Instead I shall just say I hope you feel better after your bout of verbal diarrhoea alcohol fueled venting. :)

I don't think every thing is flower giving, and nothing against debates, just when it seems like bullying.

I can generally take most things against me, and I know how many children I have actually. I have 6 and the other half is a stay at home dad.

Asking for opinions, but not to be attacked.
I love a good debate, otherwise I wouldn't have actually posted but when some one posts asking for advice or the opinions of others and is slated, that is where I have the problem and beleive me there is loads of things I don't agree with but I wouldn't go out to hurt some one else unless they attacked first.

and oh I have had sidekick cookies and cream, just for a change

For not liking the 'robust' air of AIBU, your posts are a bit goading wouldn't you say?

I agree that some threads make me cringe and wonder whether they stray into bullying, but there are plenty of other gobby posters who won't stand for that kind of shite and will speak up.

That's the main problem with bullying IMO, not so much that it goes on, (because to me it's inevitable and in human nature) it's that other people stand by and say nothing.

Now you can't say that happens here.

Which is why they take the shape of rucks with epic proportions.

You do know it's not compulsory, don't you OP?
MN is a vast site BTW, if you don't like it, I'm sure there's many other sites you can join.

Yes I am probably goading, and even agree with you that a lot of people don't stand by and say nothing, though I bet there is more reading and saying nothing iygwim

But there still is a difference in debate and bullying and this post is definately for debate.

And I never said I didn't like it, just that it is a guilty pleasure.
