I hate it too, we have a fan in our room as we get the sun all afternoon and evening it gets unbearable at night give me winter and -5 any day.

Clarabell78 · 04/06/2013 20:40

YANBU 8 months pregnant here and absolutely miserable not to mention swollen up like a ballon!! Give me 10 degrees and overcast anyday, this is torture!

Bunbaker · 04/06/2013 20:44

"Buy a fan, buy an AC unit, have a cold shower. Stop complaining."

Hear, hear

ifancyashandy · 04/06/2013 21:01

I absolutely bloody love it. Not hot enough yet. Bring it on!

I want 40 degrees please Grin!

Sallystyle · 04/06/2013 21:01

I would love some bloody warm weather.

Weener · 04/06/2013 21:08

Where are those of you who are experiencing 27 degrees and 'unbearable' weather?! I am in London and it's only got as high as 19 degrees today. Which has been lovely, but I could do with a few more degrees, please!

digerd · 04/06/2013 21:11

What heat? Not here in SE north of London.

We have a cool north wind. My bedroom is 19.8 atm and faces west, but sun goes behind the large pine trees late afternoon. Outside is 15 .
Still sleeping in my thermal pjs with fleece sheet and duvet cover.

My bedroom is under a flat roofed extension and at back of garden is a canal , trees and open fields. All open fields everywhere at the back.

Fakebook · 04/06/2013 21:20

How can your house be 10°C warmer than the outside temperature?

It's 16°C in Dublin right now. There is no way your son's room is 10°C warmer unless you have the heating on.

Hmmmmmmm.

usualsuspect · 04/06/2013 21:20

It Its a as pleasantly warm today, not even hot.

usualsuspect · 04/06/2013 21:21

It was*

usualsuspect · 04/06/2013 21:22

I've not even took my cardi off yet

EliotNess · 04/06/2013 21:22

It's not hot. Over 26 is hot

MeNeedShoes · 04/06/2013 21:23

YANBU. 8 month old DC is upstairs howling in super hot room :( Hot weather took us by surprise here in new house and turns out our room gets evening sun and is as hot as hell. We are going abroad next week but at least then there will be air con! Don't know how to cool the bloody room, next step will be travel cot in different room.

InsanelyBrainDeprived · 04/06/2013 21:26

Open a landing window and put an oscillating fan in front of it. Keep curtains drawn and bedroom windows slightly open. Cool air circulates without chills. Just put dc in a vest and nappy with one if those Cotton blankets with holes in.

I have black out blinds and black out curtains

Picoo · 04/06/2013 21:27

Facebook _ it's what the baby monitor says! the room is south west facing and has had the full force of the sun for a long ttime today bloody windows are massive too. it's also a timber frame house and seems very warm during hot spells.
anyway seems I am being v v v v unreasonable and am going to have to suck it up :-)

YAB soooo U!

I was livid the other week at standing on a school field in my winter coat and scarf - in fucking May!!! Angry

I think it's only been about 21 degrees here. This is PERFECT not too hot and not too cold.

Callofthefishwife · 04/06/2013 21:29

3 days!!!! Shock

MeNeedShoes · 04/06/2013 21:50

Thanks for tips Insanely. And fakebook it's 26degrees in our room too, it's not hard to understand, the heat has just built up - OP and I seem to be living in identical house! Confused It's actually pleasantly cool outside compared to inside!

MeNeedShoes · 04/06/2013 21:51

And we ended up with baby in babygrow with no vest. And of course her crying made her more hot and bothered - arrrggghhhh!

freddiefrog · 04/06/2013 21:55

YABU

It's only been what, 4 days?

I've only just turned the heating off.

I love summer

freddiefrog · 04/06/2013 21:56

And I don't think it's been that hot. Still cardi weather

DollyClothespeg · 04/06/2013 22:06

Where are those of you who are experiencing 27 degrees

That will have been me, and I'm in sunny Yorkshire! Smile Absolutely boiling here today, in a GOOD way. I usually love the cold weather and moan about being too hot, but even I'M fed up to the back teeth of being freezing - it's been so cold and miserable for what seems like forever!
Bring on the sun! Grin

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks · 04/06/2013 22:12

Also in sunny Yorkshire!
