Having a discussion with dh and friend about how often it is normal to change bedsheets. My mum cannot go for a week without changing bedsheets and we think this us excessive. We feel, as disgusting as is it is, that it is far more normal to leave it for weeks and only do it when it gets absolutely necessary. We think more people are like this than are willing to admit. Are we being unreasonable?

Weekly here, give or take a day or two. Nothing better than crisp, clean sheets. Could not leave it longer than a fortnight, I wouldn't be able to sleep!

Every fortnight to three weeks. Weekly if really hot.

Every 2 weeks on the dot. DP is very particular about it, haha.

Twice a year whether they need it or not.

I do mine when I remember!

valiumredhead · 13/05/2013 09:22

At least once a week in this house, twice in the summer.

anonpost · 13/05/2013 10:07

Once a week. Duvet and pillow get replaced yearly.

I aim for once a fortnight - sometimes it's a bit more.

I worry about all the energy/water/detergent used for more than once a week!
