I love hearing the cockerels in the morning(all my neighbours have them), don't mind peacocks either,
We often have people move here and then start complaining about that and the cow poo (I am going to start a bovine nappy business when I get the time), which always is greeted with raised eyebrows,
I have been known to lean out of my bedroom window and shout at the owl, who uses the branch of the fruit tree about ten feet away from my head, to perch , then shout continuously to her mate twit' then him twoo from the other side of the tree, I keep threatening to move their nest box,
I have a pair of house sparrows nesting next to the bedroom window, they never shut up, and the blue tits, are loud,
and then we have a pair of wood pigeons who sit in the gutter above the bedroom window, to warm up in the morning sun, they chortle away as soon as it begins to get light,
The woodpeckers start early at this time of the year, we are right in the middle of quite a few pairs territory so we get a lot of oneupmanship noise. you would think someone had the builders in some mornings,
there are two pairs of nesting seagulls on nearby roofs, they have a lot to say,in the morning when it all kicks off.
we are right next to hundreds of acres of native woodland on an estuary, the dawn chorus here is amazing, all the birds on the pull, at dusk it's always worth stopping and listening, best enjoyed with a G&T.
