For instance:
A) Are George and Richard Rabbit G&T? They've just set up Dinosaur World in George and Peppa's bedroom, with an upturned laundry basket as a volcano, a forest of toy trees and a river made of blue building blocks. They're not like any 18 month old I've ever seen!

B) Do you have no choice but to marry the only available instance of the other gender of your species in existence? How did Mrs Rabbit and Miss Rabbit decide who got to marry Mr Rabbit?

C) Why did Daddy and Mummy Pig call George George when it so definitely doesn't start with P? Did she not get shot down on a Baby Names thread for that one?

What I want to know is why Granny and Grandpa Pig are bigger than Mummy and Daddy Pig. Does nobody stop growing? Is there a great great grandma pig who is the size of Windy Castle?

Also, why is the Mayor in Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom obviously Boris Johnson? And why is everyone so racist? And why haven't Nanny Plum and the Wise Old Elf got down to it as the simmering sexual tension is really starting to get on my nerves.

MummytoMog · 25/04/2013 17:08

Ha! Not just me then...

TheSilveryPussycat · 25/04/2013 17:54

Oh dear, am I going to have to add Ben and Holly to my viewing list? Am already planning to tell Sky+ to capture PP (iyswim).

(Answer: yes, I am. Obviously)

Wibblytummy · 25/04/2013 20:20

I've often wondered about Mr Potato. I always took the assumption he was a man in a suit until we saw the smoothie episode where Miss Rabbit is running a smoothie stall in the supermarket. After they all fall in love with 'dinosaur juice' a whole bunch of vegetable/fruit creatures arrive to celebrate. There's a grape like creature that is far too small to be mammal in suit... Confused

Fav episode is when they visit Mr Fox's shop for an anniversary present for Grandma and Grandpa Pig's anniversary, it's the scene with the plastic antique chairs, that come in a set of 6. They also are not for sitting on, just looking at.

We are very pro Daddy Pig in the Wibbly house, the episode where he is in the boat with Mr Wolf brings me out in a cold sweat. "I'm very hungry..." Swim away Daddy Pig, swim away!!

showtunesgirl · 25/04/2013 20:51

True fact. The girl who plays Holly in the stage show of Ben and Holly was also Peppa Pig in that stage show too.

I have friends in high places. Grin

skyninja · 25/04/2013 20:57

Apologies if I'm repeating someone, but I only read four pages of the thread....It occurred to me last week that they must all be vegetarians, or perhaps there's human meat in those meatballs.

skyninja · 25/04/2013 21:00

And further apologies for possible repetition, but Mastermind is yet to have a Peppa Pig specialist, and as I've now been watching it for 7 years I reckon I could be in with a chance. Oh, and my 7.5 year old daughter still adores it, current fave is the skiing one.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 25/04/2013 21:24

We adore PP in this house.

My query is about the episode where the children form a band and perform to the mummies and daddies at home time. Mr Bull turns up to collect and ends up playing the tuba. But he doesn't have a child to collect...

We love Mr Bull. Whenever DD (2.3) spots a digger, she yells "digging up the road. MOO!"

Twit · 25/04/2013 21:24

Oh is that the one where mummy pig is the expert skier and crashes into the house? I saw that one for the first time the the day and PMSL (almost) when she just slapped into the house and the snow fell on her. Blush

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 25/04/2013 21:30

Oh, and th house configuration drives me mad. Remember the putting up a picture episode, Daddy Pig makes a hole in the wall and Peppa and George run around to look back inside the house? They clearly run out of the door on the other side of the lounge to the hole. But in the episode where Granny and Grandpa Pig babysit, Mummy and Daddy Pig return to the house to find everyone asleep on the sofa via a mystery door in that wall.

marmalade32 · 25/04/2013 21:46

I love Peppa Pig and Ben and Holly. Love Ben and Holly the most. Especially love redbeard the pirate. He clearly fancies Nanny Plum like mad - and I also love how Alexander Armstrong seems to be taking over Peppa Pig

lilacmamacat · 25/04/2013 22:01

Would it be off-topic to say I think that Peppa is a self-centered, smug little snot and I think it's time she made a terminal visit to Mr & Mrs Wolf?

Loulybelle · 25/04/2013 22:17

Lilac, im in agree, she gets on my nerves, what a sore loser.

Tincletoes · 25/04/2013 22:35

Alexander Armstrong is Lucy's dad in Ben and Holly too.

abbyfromoz · 25/04/2013 23:01

Do they eat bacon and eggs for breakfast?

abbyfromoz · 25/04/2013 23:03

Will George one day finally take revenge on Peppa for being so bossy? Or will he grow up hating dominant women and need therapy?

PickledInAPearTree · 25/04/2013 23:09

Is Happy Mrs Chicken the most shite game ever?

MeanAndMeaslyMiddleAges · 25/04/2013 23:20

Oooh, I actually know the answer about why the houses are all on hills. The designers did it that way because when little children draw pictures of their houses they're usually in complete isolation, and often on top of hills.

I absolutely love Peppa Pig. YY to the episode where Peppa hangs up on Suzy Sheep. The look on her face - had me and dh in stitches. And we love Mr Potato. The first time DH saw the Potato City episode he was stupidly excited at having seen the best PP episode ever.

"Errrr - because dinosaurs like eating vegetables?"
"No."

And when Grampy Rabbit tells Edmund Elephant that he's a bit of a clever clogs you can just tell that what he was really saying was "You're a smart arsed little shit, aren't you."

George could definitely benefit from some controlled crying.

And my theory on Ben and Holly is that there will be a revolution. The oppressed masses Elves WILL rise up against the fairies soon, definitely. That programme is deep.

NKinDXB · 25/04/2013 23:39

Happy Mrs Chicken is hilarious! We have the app and the noise she makes laying eggs still makes me laugh.

So many of my favourite moments have been mentioned already. I love Mummy Pig winning the giant teddies. One of the best Suzy Sheep lines is when Dr Hamster is asking the children what Binky the budgie needs to stay healthy: "She needs to breathe a bit."

BearsDontDigOnDancing · 26/04/2013 00:09

See, Ben and Holly, i think it is the elves who have all the power! That smug git the Wise Old Elf, is always telling them not to use their wands. Ben does it with Holly all the time, she cant fly, or use magic, but ooohhhh, he is an elf, so is allowed to use his super elf skills of running fast , being athletic, blowing horns and being a smug little arse all the time!

Hence Holly never wins at chase or hide and seek as she cant use any of her fairy skills! And cant run, jump etc as well as an elf, as clearly over time Fairies have evolved to not require the physical strength that an elf has, as they rely on magic. Elves always give themselves the upper hand.

Crafty elfy bastards!!

Booboobedoo · 26/04/2013 12:20

I thought 'Happy Mrs Chicken' was called 'Happiness is Chicken' for my first few Peppa Pig months.

I thought it was some kind of oblique Zen reference.

OhHullitsOnlyMeYoni · 26/04/2013 12:26

She is Happy because she has horrendous wind and eggs squits, which the game allows her to distribute willy-nilly.

PedroYoniLikesCrisps · 26/04/2013 12:42

My absolute favourite line is Doctor Hamster:

"he seems to be upside down, I'll just flip him over"

TapDancingPimp · 26/04/2013 12:51

Granny Pig "It must be very interesting mending boats"

Grampy Rabbit "Ohhh it takes yeeeaarss to learn how to mend a boat!!"

Peppa "How long have you been mending them?"

Grampy Rabbit "....years"

Actually makes me laugh every time without fail!!

TapDancingPimp · 26/04/2013 12:56

Also laugh every time Daddy Pig goes red.

DH also loves to point out how Mummy Pig is "always getting her tits out" ie. parading around in that bikini.
