In shock, just come home from a soft play place, went with some other mums that I have just started getting to know. DD (4 years old) being unruly - we are going through a phase at the moment, one of the other mums just picked her up and smacked her on her bottom. I was completely stunned - I would never hit a child my own or someone elses... DD in tears i just gathered up DS's stuff took DD and left.

I want to pick her up on it, or call the police or something..... sorry dont have anyone in RL i cant speak to right now so sorry for ranty message im just still stunned!

WWYD?????

It's quite simple Daemon - she may have been mistaken about the mark...and I thought I was confused today being pumped full of all sorts of medication...

DaemonPantalaemon · 09/04/2013 09:46

She may have been mistaken about the mark

Even more confused. Mistaken about what, that it was there, or that it came from the smack?

LovePickles · 09/04/2013 09:50

...that it came from the smack. If you read the entire post you'll see the PSCO examined the mark (so we can conclude there was a mark) and said its not consistent with a smack.

Further you will see Clumsy say 'the fact remains, she hit my DD' so we can read from this that OP still maintains a smack occurred.

Hope this helps

CheCazzo · 09/04/2013 09:51

Are you the OP then Love?

LovePickles · 09/04/2013 09:51

That should read PCSO...oops

LovePickles · 09/04/2013 09:53

Lol CheCazzo, yeah I'm the OP... Jesus what are you? The Gestapo?

Is there any end to this madness?

Sugarice · 09/04/2013 09:57

If you're confused about any aspects of this tale Daemon then I'm sure LovePickles will be happy to fill you in and finish it off with a 'HTH' Grin

LovePickles · 09/04/2013 10:04

Stranger things have happened. Just don't get what there is to gain from a made up tale here. Like I said, I'm new, maybe those 'in the know' could enlighten us all.

LovePickles · 09/04/2013 10:05

We can all be a little passive aggressive CheCazzo, isn't the right? It's just a problem for those that don't expect it right back! sickly smile

Sugarice · 09/04/2013 10:07

LovePickles some people like the attention.

MammaTJ · 09/04/2013 10:08

My DD could quite easily hurt herself twice in the same place, on the same day, never mind bringing a violent adult in to the equasion.

Ra88 · 09/04/2013 10:09

She would be calling the police on me after I'd finished with her !

Clumsyoaf · 09/04/2013 10:11

I said I "might" have got it wrong. To me it looks like a smack mark but then the PCOS is a professional but in my mnd i believe that she sustained that injury when she was smacked.

Sugarice, you may be right, and that not entirely impossible. I this case, and since I haven't read the other threads, I don't see any hole at the moment. The only hints are coming from other users who seem to have past history in reading/participating in OP's previous threads.

LovePickles · 09/04/2013 10:15

Clumsyoaf Maybe you could take her to the doctor for a second opinion, just to be on the safe side. Did it appear that she hit her quite hard?

Clumsyoaf · 09/04/2013 10:18

I dont really know, i was quite far out it was loud so didnt hear the smack but the thing that sticks in my mind is the look on the womans face she was shouting through gritted teeth at how she (dd) would learn to share. I think it was her whole demaeanor which really alarmed me to the fact that she had hurt dd (then dd wetting herself and crying so much)

JammySplodger · 09/04/2013 10:23

Were you able to show her the photos you took yesterday aternoon?

Clumsyoaf · 09/04/2013 10:30

Yes i did. DD and DS were playing in their pjs playing in the conservatory so didnt hear the conversation we had but i showed her the pic. She then went out to the conservatory and spoke to dd, just asking what she had been doing since she was off nursery and dd volunteered the events herself Blush "the nasty lady xx mummy hurt me." and then just recited everything i had told her about hitting people and why it is wrong etc.

Clumsyoaf · 09/04/2013 10:30

I thought she might have asked to see the mark first hand but she said she didnt want to upset dd - they were winding down for bed and she had pyjama bottoms on

Netguru, me, right now, I am laughing through gritted teeth. You are a caution, you are!

squeakytoy · 09/04/2013 10:47

Sounds like the child fell and landed heavily on something. I have never known a smack to cause bruising which would turn green within hours.

LovePickles · 09/04/2013 10:52

OP didn't state shouting but just checked back and it was mentioned at 13:09. You know if we're gonna get pedantic about...

I'm finding it hard to figure out who appears more pathetic. Someone making up tales, or those with nothing better to do clubbing together like a bunch of catty school girls to mock the spectacle.

Me? I'm laughing out loud, mouth wide open!
