In shock, just come home from a soft play place, went with some other mums that I have just started getting to know. DD (4 years old) being unruly - we are going through a phase at the moment, one of the other mums just picked her up and smacked her on her bottom. I was completely stunned - I would never hit a child my own or someone elses... DD in tears i just gathered up DS's stuff took DD and left.

I want to pick her up on it, or call the police or something..... sorry dont have anyone in RL i cant speak to right now so sorry for ranty message im just still stunned!

WWYD?????

coco Thanks. It'll have to be the flowers cos I'm knocked up ATM.

I'm one of those weird people who can't help testing things. A button saying "don't press" or a sign saying "wet paint" always end badly for me.

Luckily (or maybe very unluckily) dh is just the same. Our old microwave had scorch marks from the experiment to try and find the length of microwaves...

ta though step! i shall appoint you my top spokesperson!

uniqueatlast · 08/04/2013 22:09

MadameDefarge I had reported. I'm not a prolific poster and so am unsure of the etiquette. Should I not have posted on the thread and just reported?

flaminhoopsaloolah · 08/04/2013 22:10

I'm with you nerf...which I why I popped on a few websites to have a look at how bruises develop - I'd hate for the OP to actually get into trouble for appearing to make false accusations.

LittleEdie · 08/04/2013 22:13

uniqueatlast The idea is that when a poster is genuine it could feel devastating to not be believed. When you report Mumsnet HQ look into it and delete the thread when appropriate.

Nerfmother · 08/04/2013 22:14

Thank you madame and step - sorry for being sensitive! flaminhoops - yep, I think its easy to get all fired up, but at the end of the day the op will be alone when talking to the pcso, and when facing her friends.

uniqueatlast · 08/04/2013 22:15

Ok, Thanks for that advice. :)

QOD · 08/04/2013 22:22

I actually don't know if I'd take it further.

MadameDefarge · 08/04/2013 22:32

no worries nerf! its not like your reply was horrid!!!

Nerfmother · 08/04/2013 22:56

Phew! Very hard to get tone right sometimes revises thinking on writing that novel

NoTeaForMe · 08/04/2013 23:02

To report do you report the Original post then rather than report the thread?!

MadameDefarge · 08/04/2013 23:08

you can report any post you feel uncomfortable with. Op or within the thread.

Is this the same mum who wanted their DDs to share a party or something, and something about a bouncy castle...?

Bessie123 · 09/04/2013 00:10

I don't think it is the shared bday party lady, wasn't that coffeedog or coffee something?

stressyBessy22 · 09/04/2013 00:13

It was coffeedog, but then someone came back claiming to be the other mother - was that the OP?

Bessie123 · 09/04/2013 00:14

Hmm, actually, maybe the coffee someone was the other mum. I think you might be right about op being the shared party poster

Bessie123 · 09/04/2013 00:14

Shit, sorry, xpost
