To be worried about my boob?

This may sound really odd but my left breast feels funny

It feels a bit swollen and, not exactly sore, but a bit uncomfortable.

My cousin died of breast cancer last year and a bit of me is niggly worried. I've had a good feel around and can't find anything lumpy but it feels wrong somehow and I am not 100% sure how to properly check my breasts (about to google it)

I feel a bit silly about it but it just doesnt feel right. AIBU to be a bit worried. Is it too silly a thing to see a GP about? I have doctors appointment this afternoon but that's about something else and I know they hate you mentioning more than 1 issue

I suppose I'm looking for some re-assurance really

Went back for my follow up.

Mammogram on the breast they did the biospy on is fine (M2) but they want to do an ultrasound to be sure

The other breast which I had no worries on showed a "slight step in the breastplate and shadowing" which they have classed as M3. (Indeterimate abnormality probably benign)

I really thought the follow up was just a formality :(

I know it will probably be fine and I am trying not to worry. But I am a bit

Any hand holding and positive stories would be very, very lovely

It does sound like they're just being careful - hope you don't have to wait too long! If it's in the breast you hadn't even worried about, if there is anything it will be caught super early?

I am going to focus on the fact the are just being cautious and how lucky I am to live in a country where this level of care and checking is avaliable.

And drink wine until I think I will be able to sleep :)
