this section really does attract more than it's fair share of unpleasant mumsnetters

although i suppose it gives people somewhere to go, if they feel like being horrible to someone or having a go at someone.
perhaps it even helps people that are very meek in rl
to be a bit more open with their views

i do wonder about the people who spend most of theirtime in this section though....
i wonder why they spend so much time on this section

I just move on if people are getting unpleasant - there are so many threads on Mumsnet that you are sure to find something else interesting/supportive (or get involved in RL ).

I don't really keep tabs on who posts where - I assume most people post in a variety of topics (like wot I do) but agree there are some prize arseholes on Mumsnet atm.

oh don't get me wrong, i don't worry about people being unpleasant on here, but i do wonder about these people

because they like a bun fight? or disagreeing, or creating a bunfight? I don't think anyone posts in AIBU expecting a majority to agree that they are not in fact being unreasonable?

I don't think the MNers are unpleasant though, more that they can express their views which may make them come over as unpleasant.

And they spend time here as it can sometimes be very a little bit entertaining watching someone who is definately being ubnreasonable getting a right old pasting!

The posts here are often contentious - there is usually someone who is being unreasonable (whether it be the OP or not). Unreasonableness promotes more heated discussion

Agree, White and Yellow and I have seen and to some extent experienced that mentality, it can be pretty sickening for a sensitive soul . I often think people who post here are either brave or naieve ...

OTOH there are some interesting and intelligent posts, I look out for them ...
