this section really does attract more than it's fair share of unpleasant mumsnetters

although i suppose it gives people somewhere to go, if they feel like being horrible to someone or having a go at someone.
perhaps it even helps people that are very meek in rl
to be a bit more open with their views

i do wonder about the people who spend most of theirtime in this section though....
i wonder why they spend so much time on this section

Whiteandyellowiris thank you for starting this thread. I joined MN about two months ago and was put off. I've only started lurking again because I enjoyed the AIBU thread very much and followed some of the stories in the health threads. But I haven't wanted to post anything.

A panda eats shoots and leaves, seems reasonable to me.

I love to read the thread titles 'Aibu to kick dh in the bollocks for coddling my frangipani.' Or summat. Then I get drawn in, especially to anything relating to vaseline, bumsex or affairs.

Don't most people just go off Active Convos? I have no idea what topic I'm posting in half the time, I just bumble around in AC and post my random musings as and when I see fit. Isn't that what most people do if they just want to shoot the breeze?

I know lots of people who want support in a certain area or more specific info on something serious generally look in the relevant topic, but if you just wants shits and giggles AIBU or Chat is where it's at usually.

I think that i have attracted more bile on the relationships section but then I am desperate and everyone feels sorry for my kids which I find odd as it's the one area that needs to be treated supportively and sensitively.

I've only ever been deleted in AIBU usually for calling people out on their actions I just think if I sit back and ignore it then its as bad as endorsing what they're saying sadly for me it seems at times MNHQ only let goady twats have their say and not people calling them out for being a goady twat I have thick internet skin though funny because I certainly don't in real life

I think goady fuckers who start threads they know will cause a bunfight are much worse on the arsehole scale.
