doing a poo on the potty...! instead of having to scrape it off the carpet or out of her pants

Any minute now...!

Losingexcessweight · 18/03/2013 11:01

Why are you scraping it out of her pants?

Fakebook · 18/03/2013 11:11

Yanbu. It's a proud moment and the start of an easy poo-cleaning free life.

JParkson · 18/03/2013 11:11

oh for pete's sake is that all you can say?!

very supportive/encouraging... thanks(!) Hmm

JParkson · 18/03/2013 11:13

thanks fakebook :) She did it - am very pleased, as she twigged the wee side very quickly, but we've struggled with the poo side!

BrainSurgeon · 18/03/2013 11:13

Congratulations Grin

Losingexcessweight · 18/03/2013 11:16

Yeah great stuff, your child now poo's in the potty instead of constantly in their pants.

You deserve a big pat on the back for toilet training before they were obviously ready.

JParkson · 18/03/2013 11:17

Cheers :)

Branleuse · 18/03/2013 11:18

no, its up to you, but youre unreasonable to think anyone outside of immedicate family might want to know about it

Bossybritches22 · 18/03/2013 11:19

Do fuck off Losing, this OP is pleased with her daughter, let her have her moment, even if you disagree for some reason!

Well done Mini-JP !!

I'm really happy for you! I remember the pooey pants days, and I have to do it all over again v.v.soon!Confused
Well done op you deserve huge amounts of chocolate and wine!

MrsApplepants · 18/03/2013 11:24

It's a great feeling when it goes in the potty for the first time!! A little milestone achieved!

thebody · 18/03/2013 11:26

Wonderful I remember the joy of a poo in the potty to this day.

Hurrah!

freddiefrog · 18/03/2013 11:28

Yay!

I had to ring DH at work when the first poo hit the potty.

JParkson · 18/03/2013 11:29

I am stupidly pleased only because I didn't do DS's potty-training - DH insisted on doing that (mainly as I was depressed as fuck for over 3 years but didn't realise it Blush ) DD1 has given me so many firsts, I can't help but be pleased!

Chocolate and wine - argh! The two things I am limited on - all the choc I have is for DD as rewards (I may pinch a button presently...)

And wine... what is wine...?! lol (haven't bought any since being pg with DD2 who is now 7mo)

I shall make do with a well-earned Brew and Biscuit :o

I posted a photo of DS's first wee in the potty on FB that's how proud I was!
DS was 3.5....

Flobbadobs · 18/03/2013 11:29

It's such a relief when they start suceeding at potty training, like a light at the end of a nappy filled tunnel Grin
No more nappies, changing bags filled with wipes and all the bits and no more poonamies up the back of the vest
Am impressed you managed to actually use the potty for its intended purpose, mine tended to use it as a hat or storing toy cars!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/03/2013 11:29

Oh ffs what is wrong with some people?!

Poos are often harder than wees.

Well done to your dd OP. we're starting potty training at Easter I'm not looking forward to it! Dd has done a couple of poos on the potty so far but always wees when she stands up after sitting on the potty (she sometimes has an hour or so nappy free).

JParkson · 18/03/2013 11:29

DH has been emailed!

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 18/03/2013 11:31

Haha I love that you've emailed dh!

mrsjay · 18/03/2013 11:32

yaaay for poos Grin dd1 was a nightmare for pooing I had to migrate her to the toilet she was a witholder of poo , so well done your dd

BuntyCollocks · 18/03/2013 11:33

YANBU. DS did a poo in the loo today after threatening all weekend to do one and then saying "NOT TODAY!" and I was ridiculously proud. He is 2.1, and asked to go.

Well done to dd1!

ChunkyChicken · 18/03/2013 11:38

Currently potty training DD (2,10 & day 4) so can completely understand!! Poos are currently half in pants, half on potty, but we're tempts fate, crosses fingers, hopes & prays on our way with wees...

haveapear · 18/03/2013 11:38

Dd2 did her 1st poo in the potty at 18 months - looked at it, freaked out and wouldn't try again for another long year!

Yanbu it's a proud moment :)
