Xmasbaby11 · 15/03/2013 18:38

midastouch · 15/03/2013 18:43

I was 24 when i had my youngest, not much use to you i know. I do know somebody who tried for years to have a DC with her new husband at 40 she had DD1 and at 42 she accidently had DD2. Good luck!

sweetkitty · 15/03/2013 18:52

2 months off my 35th birthday.

The others I had at 29, 30 and 33.

I had a cut off point of 35 in my head. Maybe having 3 close together I didn't want a big gap to no 4.

Am well and truly finished having babies now. Most of my friends had their last baby late 30s.

niminypiminy · 15/03/2013 18:56

41 with no 1
44 with no 2

I never cease to be astonished and profoundly grateful that I have been lucky enough to have children when I spent so many years thinking that I would never be able to.

DoTheStrand · 15/03/2013 18:58

40 (nearly 41) when I had DS2.
38 when I had DS1.
I did have a miscarriage before each though, and the second mc I know was caused by my age sadly.
Am currently TTC no3 (am now 42. DH is in his 50s!)

MrsJohnDeere · 15/03/2013 19:09

MrsJohnDeere · 15/03/2013 19:11

Duh, misread. Was 36 with ds2.

MMC at 40. Honestly don't know how I would have coped with being pg again if it hasn't ended that way. My body doesn't like pregnancy at all.

DoTheStrand · 15/03/2013 19:21

Meant to add, round here TTC in your late 30s or early 40s barely raises an eyebrow, it is v common.

Coffeenowplease · 15/03/2013 19:21

My mum was 43. Weird because now I wouldnt even consider a child before im say early 30s at least. I think under 30 is way too young Grin !

BarnYardCow · 15/03/2013 19:29

35 . Started at 22, and that is it for us!

2 weeks before I turned 41 Grin

CurlyKiwiControl · 15/03/2013 19:34

I find threads like this really interesting.
DD I was 20
DS I was 24
DC#3 I will be 25

For your hopeful story I just watched I didn't know I was pregnant and the lady on there was 46 and had had her tubes tied!!

Best of British to you :)

jamdonut · 15/03/2013 19:38

36 with DC3....and the Midwife at my hospital booking-in appointment was horrified that I refused a Down's test "at my age"! I said I wasn't interested in knowing, and that the child would be welcomed, whatever.

LadyMacbethWasMisunderstood · 15/03/2013 19:39

DC3 was born when I was 44. Nearly 45. I had DC1 aged 34 and DC 2 aged 37. Had 4 miscarriages after DC2 and almost gave up hope of a third after I got to 42. So glad I didn't. He is a delight and his older sisters adore him. And I had an easy pregnancy too. Good luck.

PeppermintPasty · 15/03/2013 19:40

DevonLodger · 15/03/2013 19:45

42 with DD1 (born when I was 43). Not even a raised eyebrow at hospital. Very easy birth.

46 with DD2. Pregnancy fine. Labour difficult and ended up with c section which was fine.

rufusnine · 15/03/2013 19:50

44 years and 10 months - 20 years and 10 months after my 1st!

WinkyWinkola · 15/03/2013 19:55

Dc4 when I'd just turned 42. I would love another and feel optimistic about it.

Whathaveiforgottentoday · 15/03/2013 20:09

39 for my dd2. didn't take too long to conceive.
