x post! Sleep needed Grin

SorrelForbes · 01/03/2013 22:31

Is it my shift?

marriednotdead · 01/03/2013 22:31

TooImmatureCheddar Pre-book your appointment if you can, especially if you're looking to go tomorrow. Everyone's just got paid so it will be busy! Let them know that she is shy and self conscious and they will make sure the fitter is super sensitive.

DoubleLifeIsALifeHalved · 01/03/2013 22:35

Oooh ok 36G thank you!

any tips on what shape would be good for my soft & squishy & floppy norks? Most of the volume is underneath & I suspect under arm pits, and there is a considerable distance they need lifting up & out, they always were soft & didn't hold their shape but post bf they are basically hideous.

Currently am wearing m&s breast feeding bras (in spite of it being a year since bf!) and on the loosest rung at the backago try & be comfortable, & totally let out at the shoulders as hurt to pull boobs up with shoulder straps. in other words... Awful situation!

Oh and my boobs are rather low slung & I am tall so I've had problems finding bras that don't hurt my shoulders.

Amazing experts you are, thank you!

Itsmynamechange · 01/03/2013 22:42

Thanks Stat & Celtic

My bras ride up (I can shrug them downwards) and they leave terrible marks under my bust. They are soft cup nursing bras if that makes a big difference?

marriednotdead · 01/03/2013 22:46

DoubleLife Try Panache Andorra but you'll need to go at least a cup bigger. It's got stretch lace at the top of the cup. The wires are very long on a shorter torso but sound ideal for your body shape.

Another good one is Fantasie Elodie. Will have to go the opposite way with cup sizing though, it's huge!

CelticPromise · 01/03/2013 22:48

Soft cup bras won't do you any favours in terms of support in cup size like JJ. If they are riding up that suggests the band is too big, which is likely in the 34s I should think. That will also lead to your boobs sagging and the rubbing underneath I should think. Nursing bras tend to get worn a lot and therefore a bit stretched and saggy too IME.

CelticPromise · 01/03/2013 22:49

That was in reply to namechange sorry.

marriednotdead · 01/03/2013 22:50

Sorrel Are you around for a bit, I really should go to bed but can't tear myself away.

Working at the pit face tomorrow Smile

I just bought an underwired 32J - a Panache Fiesta - hope it will fit better than my saggy nursing bras!

marriednotdead · 01/03/2013 23:08

Samra the bra you've linked to has a slightly stretchy cup so it usually fits better a size down. If that doesn't fix it, it's probably a style issue. Book a fitting rather than going it alone, and take the offending bra with you. A good fitter should be able to fix things.

inchoccyheaven · 01/03/2013 23:10

Thanks Stats and Travel, I did use to wear 34d but as the weight went on increased it to a 34dd now a 36d but they didn't always seem right.

marriednotdead · 01/03/2013 23:11

Sorry, that one's bugging me! Need a virtual fitting room where I can see you

StatisticallyChallenged · 01/03/2013 23:12

It does actually married - the butterfly collection in Canada do Skype fittings!

DoubleLifeIsALifeHalved · 01/03/2013 23:27

Oooh thankyou!

Just looking at brastop & some are in the sale so just wondered if you had any thoughts on the fit of:

Curvy Kate princess bra
Curvy Kate tease me bra
Fantasie Sarah bra (though says elodie in the description)

And they do have an elodie bra but not in my size, or one cup size down as suggested - should I go for a 35E, 36GG, or 38F or give it a miss?

Thanks again!

2anddone · 01/03/2013 23:31

I LOVE this thread I am a 34 under and 46 over. What size should I try currently wearing 34f and not comfy at all!

SorrelForbes · 01/03/2013 23:33

Ok, try a 34HH.

However , how do the bands feel on your current 34s if you put them on back to front?

marriednotdead · 01/03/2013 23:36

A 36F or FF is your likely size in Elodie or one of it's variants. Anything bigger is likely to drown you!

CK Princess is generous in the band but less so in the cup. 36GG/34H? Ditto the Tease Me. I've had the Tease Me before, very wide but shallow style. Comfy but the only bra I've ever had where the wire has come out Hmm

2anddone · 01/03/2013 23:36

Thanks they feel a bit tight for about a week a month but other than that ok

SorrelForbes · 01/03/2013 23:42

Ok, stick with the 34 then (unless you can swivel it around or get more than two fingers under the band?) and go up quite a few cups!
