I'm sitting next to a small group of 18/19 year old boys in macdonalds who are discussing what's gone wrong with the world.

And apparently chaps, it starts with us. MN is (and I quote) 'the cesspit of humanity'.

I feel quite proud. Wink

I feel proud every time someone slags us off. I've been here for years under various names and its done nothing but help me, give me laughs and make me more knowledgable. If this is the cesspit of humanity I'm proud to be a part of it.

I am always right though Wink

MrsTerryPratchett · 20/02/2013 14:26

Lean over and say, "not cesspit, nest of vipers" and Grin at them menacingly.

cory · 20/02/2013 14:26

oooh, I've never been called anything that grand before! Grin

to think of all the trouble I had to go to in my teens to be thought even mildly rebellious and now I'm nearing fifty and the cesspit of humanity!

just shows what you can achieve if you don't give up Grin

deleted203 · 20/02/2013 14:27

YES! @ MrsTerry. That would be fantastic! Grin

dayshiftdoris · 20/02/2013 14:28

They are in McDonalds out of choice and they think MN is the cesspit of all humanity?

Does say much for there standards of humanity or a cesspit....

Limelight · 20/02/2013 14:28

It's because we're (again I quote) 'fat mums who feed their fat kids fucking crap and buy them xboxes'.

Apparently.

dayshiftdoris · 20/02/2013 14:29

Jeez

*Does not say much for THEIR....

God help me I am destined to fail at superiority

TheVermiciousKnid · 20/02/2013 14:29

It gets better! Grin

KellyElly · 20/02/2013 14:29

They must be really geeky 18/19 year old boys to know what the hell MN actually is!!

ineedtochange · 20/02/2013 14:30

McDonald's? Sausage roll and a fruit shoot more like.

YouTheCat · 20/02/2013 14:30

I bet these are the same sad acts that were trolling on here a few weeks ago.

I second leaning over and saying 'It's Nest of Vipers actually' then leering menacingly as they splutter over their McCrap. Grin

Sugarice · 20/02/2013 14:30

Who the fuck do these spotty faced whiney arses think they are they know nothing

Do lean in Limelight

Limelight · 20/02/2013 14:47

I've already left sadly. I did however say to them (with a smile on my face) 'MN returns the compliments gentlemen' as I left.

My 5yo DS said 'they used lots of bad words. They must be very naughty' when we got outside. Grin

YouTheCat · 20/02/2013 14:52

Brilliant! Grin

Limelight · 20/02/2013 14:52

Oh and they are definitely geeky!

OP posts:
MrsTerryPratchett · 20/02/2013 14:52

You are awesome. As is DS.

Sugarice · 20/02/2013 14:53

Must look out for any extra trolley threads tonight Grin

SmiteYouWithThunderbolts · 20/02/2013 14:55

'fat mums who feed their fat kids fucking crap and buy them xboxes'.

This may describe me a little Blush although my kids aren't fat

TheVermiciousKnid · 20/02/2013 14:55

Excellent. Grin

deleted203 · 20/02/2013 14:56

Just asked my 19 yo son if he'd heard of Mumsnet and he gave me a Confused face and said, 'Nope. Sounds thrilling'.

I was with Kelly on the 'how many lads have even heard of it?' Do you think one of them has a Mum who has posted on here for help about his (cough) bad language and attitude problem - and then shown him the replies? Grin

WorraLiberty · 20/02/2013 14:56

I'm really struggling to believe that 18/19 year old boys would even know what Mumsnet is, let alone use a phrase like 'the cesspit of humanity'.

Where the fuck do you live?

Are you sure they weren't filming The Inbetweeners or something?

YouTheCat · 20/02/2013 14:56

Did they mean their own mothers then? Who probably bought them crap and got them xboxes.

Ungrateful little turds.

NoelHeadbands · 20/02/2013 14:58

They don't sound like any teenagers I know, that's for sure

MrsTerryPratchett · 20/02/2013 15:04

We are in the papers a fair amount. Maybe they read. Unlikely I know but still.

Limelight · 20/02/2013 15:10

It was a Macdonalds near to a university. One of them was talking about having failed his second year so they're students.

Also very clearly 'gamers'. There was a very animated discussion about one of them needing to leave home or 'at least set some fucking ground rules' because his mum wouldn't let him get the right sort of controller thingie (can't remember what you call them). This because he contributes to household tasks so he has rights...

Obviously I picked all of this up whilst conversing with my 5yo and you know, spending quality time with him. Blush
