you'll 'neigh'ver get anyone to admit to it

Hassled · 11/02/2013 22:40

What you're looking for then is someone prepared to admit to eating Findus Lasagne - good luck with that :o.

sarahseashell · 11/02/2013 22:40

YANBU I've been thinking this
some poor bugger has eaten it Sad

plim · 11/02/2013 22:41

My poor mum is mortified, she is 73, bought one for the first time in years two weeks ago, usually is totally puritanical abou food so sister and I were really surprised when she fessed up this afternoon. Obviously we had a field day ribbing her about it. She said she can't think about it but in a nutshell said it was fine and in her own words she's sure it made her move faster when she trotted down to the shops later.

marriedinwhite · 11/02/2013 22:41

In France, probably. Providing it's from a regulated source and properly labelled don't think there's much of a problem with it to be honest.

I would ask my husband, as he loves cheap crappy lasagne and spag bol, but he is currently trotting around the garden..

greenfolder · 11/02/2013 22:42

Deoending how long its been going on, I reckom dd2 was practically raised on horse lasagne. I'm pleased as it explains the footstamping, tossing of mane and long face as a teenager

drmummmsy · 11/02/2013 22:42

not me did have a mince beef findus crispy pancake though

ComposHat · 11/02/2013 22:42

I've nbot had an Aldi Horse Lasagne, but I've eaten My Lidl Pony.

plim · 11/02/2013 22:42

Oh and ironic thing is that my sister is a student in equine medicine.

iMyself · 11/02/2013 22:42

Eaten as their mane meal? Might have given the trots.

Jojobump1986 · 11/02/2013 22:45

Grin That's the first horse-meat joke that's really made me giggle!

LadyBeagleEyes · 11/02/2013 22:46

I haven't a clue but I've eaten Tesco's lasagne so it's possible I suppose.
I think one of the problems is none of us know, I buy fresh mince from Tesco I could have been eating horse for years.
Neigh problems so far though.

GregBishopsBottomBitch · 11/02/2013 22:48

I had a Filly Con Carne, never a lasagne.

sarahseashell · 11/02/2013 22:50

funny really because if we were used to eating horses not cows we'd think it odd to eat a cow I suppose

MrsKeithRichards · 11/02/2013 22:50

Tiggy I totally agree.

Eat horse if you want, whatever. But just because good is cheap doesn't mean consumers don't have the right to expect what they are told will be in it, to be in it.

Last I checked it wasn't 'any meat we can get cheap' lasagne, it was beef lasagne.

Shit jokes aside, it's a serious issue.

marriedinwhite · 11/02/2013 22:51

Loving My Lidl Pony and Filly Con Carne Grin

gordyslovesheep · 11/02/2013 22:52

yeh but there are plenty of serious threads about it Grin this one is more light hearted in tone

plim · 11/02/2013 22:53

Yes, my sister- she's studying equine medicine! second year student, big swot, vegetarian - well we both are......

sneezingwakesthebaby · 11/02/2013 22:58
