I had not heard of the complaint by Katie Price until I read the thread in here. The company must have known that they were raising the profile of this complaint by making such a personal attack on Katie Price.
Don't blame Sandals- it was KP who has an entire one page column in The Sun and chose her page in a National newspaper to slag them off. They merely responded, which they have a right to do.
They could have sued her for slander, but instead they simply issued a press statement. KP said " Sandals? More like a smelly old flip flop"- is that not derogatory?
Do you expect a business not to respond to a newspaper article in a national UK newspaper with approx 6 million readers?
