yet....

I use a shopping trolley,

I adore my brand new slow cooker

I'm currently sitting on the sofa, feet up in peace and quiet with a large glass of sherry and a box of chocs

and I'm thinking up excuses not to go to a house party on New Years Eve...

I am aren't I?

CatchingMockingbirds · 27/12/2012 19:37

Yabu. I enjoy all those things (and have also cancelled a New Years party in favour of staying at home) and I've just turned 25 a couple of weeks ago.

FrazzleRock · 27/12/2012 19:38

Fuck off peaceandlove

NotAChocolateRaisin · 27/12/2012 19:43

I'm 21 and have no shame in enjoying all those things!

ChablisLover · 27/12/2012 19:48

I'm 36 and I would love a slow cooker!

Will pass on the sherry but a chilled glass of Chablis and feet up sounds lush!

Tee2072 · 27/12/2012 19:48

Christmas is over, Glaik. Back to the regular me.

I may do a NYE name change...

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 27/12/2012 19:53

Ooh good idea Tee!

hokeycakey · 27/12/2012 20:00

I think how old 33 sounds depends on how old you are yourself, thankfully I work with 60-90 year olds so ALWAYS feel really young, I'm 31 btw, but I seem to be in a minority as I will be having a house party New Year's Eve..... Then back to tea and early nights!

TeeThing2072 · 27/12/2012 20:08

This is not my NYE name. Just for the record.

AlwaysReadyForABlether · 27/12/2012 20:09

Who knew - there's even a website called shopping trolleys direct!

Cantbelieveitsnotbutter · 27/12/2012 20:13

I love my electric blanket... im 31

HoneyMurcott · 27/12/2012 20:40

I have a shopping trolley and have been waiting for tears to use it! Now we live within walking distance of shops I can't wait!

HoneyMurcott · 27/12/2012 20:41

Years!

peaceandlovebunny · 27/12/2012 20:53

Fuck off peaceandlove

i might, or i might not.

you say '33' as if its young - you're well past your 'best before' date and ripe for every comforting gadget known to man.

i can speak with authority on this one. i'm 55. Xmas Wink

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 27/12/2012 21:00

Nice!

peaceandlovebunny · 27/12/2012 21:07

i am. i'm lovely.

Signet2012 · 27/12/2012 21:12

I'm 29. I'm only just a mum (3 months ago)

I
Read far too much
Hate alcohol
Ditto clubbing
Ditto shopping
Just spent 80 pounds on new duvet, pillows and bedding out my Christmas money and I'm massively excited about bed time.
I own a slow cooker and a food processor.
I like scrapbooking
I have been officially old since I was 15

Soopermum1 · 27/12/2012 21:49

Proud owner of a slow cooker and shopping trolley (39)

Don't drive and was gutted when DS got too big for a buggy. Nothing to hang the shopping from. Now, with the shopping trolley, I have freedom (to go to Tesco)

ConfusedPixie · 27/12/2012 23:33

I'm 23 and frequently use a shopping trolley (it's bright red! Grin) and do the other two things you are doing. YANBU imo! Wink

MichelleRooJnr · 27/12/2012 23:41

I'm 37 and very excited about selling our centre of town house in 2013 to buy a country shack with complete privacy and complete silence to enjoy peace and chickens and veggie-growing.
We live a 5 minute walk from the centre of a pub and restaurant-heavy city and I don't care any more.
Give me muck and wellies! Grin

MichelleRooJnr · 27/12/2012 23:42

Ps. Still drink far too much wine, have the odd cig and hope to press some cider and have the odd dinner partyGrin

boomting · 27/12/2012 23:50

My mum (mid-50s) has a shopping trolley. Personally, I think they should be illegal for anyone under the age of 65. YABU.

FBworry · 28/12/2012 00:06

Why are people saying 33 is old?! Really?

Im 30 this year. Just spent all night telling self 30 isnt really that old, etc etc only to find this thread! Aaaahhh!

WeightyKaty · 28/12/2012 00:18

32 year old Archers addict here. Contemplating a slow cooker but not a shopping trolley just yet....

Am deaf in clubs and high heels are so ruddy uncomfortable aren't they?

I thought I was still in the marketeers dream age bracket of 18-34 non?

peaceandlovebunny · 28/12/2012 00:56

30 is a child!

33...well, you shouldn't be advertising yourself as a spring chicken

Alisvolatpropiis · 28/12/2012 02:26

I'm 24. I find any excuse possible to avoid nights out clubbing. Birthdays of close friends are the only exceptions.

My NYE plans consist of having a meal out with my DP.

I have always been a homebody and this year has been on a very personal level, serparate from my DP and family, a very bad one. I want to usher in the new year quietly,I have no desire to have a wild night out.

I would love a slow cooler too.i enjoy cooking.
