Im a cashier and after 21 years service I treat customers how they treat me! If you ignore me and don't say hello I will do the same. If you throw your loyalty card at me I throw it back and if you throw money down instead of placing it in my hand I will do the same and you'll get your receipt the same way.
I enjoy my job WHEN I serve pleasant friendly customers. I take pride in giving excellent service but after so many years of dealing with some awful customers why should I got out of my way to be nice when I'm treated like a pile of poo?! I've been called an idiot, a fat bitch and a cow..all for absolutely no reason!!
There are some terrible customer service assistants out there but there are also some awful customers!

Oh and get off your bloody phone when I'm serving you!!!!
