To want to call on all sufferers of severe morning sickness and hyperemesis gravidarum to despise Morrissey and his twattish views.

Can't believe what I have just read but here is a direct quote lifted from The Guardian website in an article about his reaction to the death of the nurse at the hospital where the Duchess of Cambridge was being treated.

" [Morrissey has] called on the duchess to take direct responsibility.

"[She] was in the hospital, as far as I could see, for absolutely no reason," the singer said. "She feels no shame about the death of this woman, she's saying nothing about the death of this poor woman. The arrogance of the British royals is absolutely staggering."

Morrissey has even accused Kate Middleton of being in hospital for spurious reasons, despite doctors diagnosing her with the serious complaint known as hyperemesis gravidarum. "Does she have a health condition?" the singer asked. "Is it anorexia or is it pregnancy? ? I mean morning sickness already? So much hoo haw and then suddenly as bright as a button as soon as this poor woman dies she's out of hospital? It doesn't ring true."

I am so angry about his attitude, not just to the Duchess, but towards all women who suffer in pregnancy. What an utter wanker.

I want to throw things at his head. Twat.

Anniegetyourgun · 12/12/2012 16:07

I had morning sickness from the first day of the sixth week with all of my pregnancies. It eased off at 10 weeks with the miscarriage (should have been a clue), 18 weeks with DS1 and 13 weeks with the rest. The fact that it was mostly mild queasiness, generally relieved by eating something very plain, with just the occasional throwing up, suggests to me that I had a very mild dose of it, not that all women who appear to be more strongly afflicted must be making a big fuss about nothing much. Likewise I had some round ligament pain towards the end with DS4, but was able to get around ok with plenty of rest; but I don't take that to mean there is no such thing as SPD.

However, there are a surprising number of people who seem to think that if they don't suffer from something, nobody does, or at least they ought not to. I remember an amazingly annoying ex-colleague who didn't believe dental pain existed; that having holes drilled in your teeth only hurt because you expected it to. It would have been quite satisfying to tweak his cock with red-hot pliers and then explain that I never had pain in my cock so he must be imagining it. (Only he would probably have enjoyed that. He was kind of unique in more ways than one.)

mumsneedwine · 12/12/2012 16:19

Every pregnant woman who walks past him should vomit over him. And get any small kids nearby to join them. I have a damaged stomach from 'just morning sickness'. He is a prat.

SolomanDaisy · 12/12/2012 16:21

Ah, a heartwarming moment where MN finds itself in complete agreement with Viz.

DoingitOnTheRoofTopWithSanta · 12/12/2012 16:24

I mean morning sickness already?

Fanjotime, he said "Morning sickens already" when does he expect her to get mornign sickness? He doesn't know anything about what he talking about and being a massive arsehole

PartridgeInASpicyPearTree · 12/12/2012 16:28

What a stupendous wanker. A former colleague had HG and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. She tried to carry on working but was wasting away in front of us. Just awful.

uptheamp · 12/12/2012 16:28

he's just saying it get attention, and getting it!

have to say he makes me laugh and still like his songs

SledsImOn · 12/12/2012 16:29

This is terrible. I used to love the Smiths, and now I don't even want to listen to them because it makes me think of what a dick he is.

I always wondered if he might have some kind of inability to understand that other people have feelings - not trying to imply that people with SN, particularly any form of autism are this offensive (I'm probably on the spectrum myself) but I can't understand what would cause a person to act like he does unless he had something going on in that respect....such an enormous lack of empathy.

DoingitOnTheRoofTopWithSanta · 12/12/2012 16:32

I lost 2 stone in my first trimester...I didn't even have HG. I have nothing but pity and dry biscuits for you poor fuckers who had it. I want to give you all a hug but I know smelling people would probably make you vomit.

He really is an ass

Abra1d · 12/12/2012 16:34

He is awful.

DoingitOnTheRoofTopWithSanta · 12/12/2012 16:45

The fucking comments on the Guardian! Shock

FellatioNelson · 12/12/2012 16:53

I love the Smiths but Morrissey is a total twat of the highest order. He is unbelievably arrogant, and almost everything that comes out of his mouth is ill thought out, offensive, self-absorbed drivel.

VivaLeBeaver · 12/12/2012 16:55

He's a big anti - Royalist. One who doesn't let the truth get in the way of a good story/viewpoint. Everything he says is untrue, from the aspersions on hyperemesis to saying that Kate hasn't said anything about the death.

I thought that Kate and Will had released a statement expressing their sympathy and saying that they'd never complaiend to the hospital but had offered support to staff.

crazycanuck · 12/12/2012 16:56

In a similar vein, get a load of this quote from our local rag from a former local politician who claims to have suffered from HG (when you read the quote you'll see why I say 'claims'): 'Remember, you are not ill so try to act as normally as you can'. She said she suffered from it for 6 months, but seriously who would go through 6 months of the hell that is HG and then come out with a corker like that?! Hmm

EnjoyResponsibly · 12/12/2012 16:58

I believe that Morrissey has ascended to the level of knobness usually only associated with Bono.

Morrissey fuck off back to your garret you grimy cock.

nannyl · 12/12/2012 17:45

makes me angry too

12 weeks into my 2nd HG pregnancy..... grrrrrrrrr

if i lived 60 years ago id be dead (due to HG) thankfully hospital and modern medicine stopped me dehydrating to death

hackmum · 12/12/2012 17:47

Ooh, I've always thought Morrissey was a twat. And a whiny twat at that. Never understood his appeal amongst soi-distant leftish liberal types. I just always wanted to slap his face and tell him to stop whingeing.

For me, the absolute confirmation came not when he made the racist remarks but in an interview he did with Vegetarian magazine. He did this big moral rant about being a vegetarian but then added that he wore leather shoes because plastic ones were so unstylish.

SuiGeneris · 12/12/2012 17:47

Never heard of this chap before but what an idiot! And which genius at the Guardian thought it was worth publishing?? Was it a slow news day?

Lambzig · 12/12/2012 17:50

I didnt have HG but had grim morning sickness both times from week 5 to week 25. That was bad enough, I cant imagine how bad HG must be.

He is a massive twat.

eccentrica · 12/12/2012 17:52

What a stupid, fuckwitted, attention-seeking, childish cunt he is. The level of comments you'd expect from a bright 12-year-old. I agree with the poster who hopes he gets incurable norovirus.

Glitterknickaz · 12/12/2012 18:01

Have not had HG but I'll shout cunt at him.

And I really, really hate that word.

Badvocsanta · 12/12/2012 18:05

Is there a "best of" album out soon perchance?
Fucking short album that'll be!
Twat.

AvonCallingBarksdale · 12/12/2012 18:08

Sad Sad Sad
I idolised him when I was younger and he is such a twat now well, has been for a while, really
