Its the repetition of thread after thread after thread on the same BORING subject that really gets to me op.

bureni · 08/12/2012 20:46

"down with this sort of thing, careful now".

ClippedPhoenix · 08/12/2012 20:48

ahh but we are creatures of habit though aren't we mintyyyyy

AfterEightMintyy · 08/12/2012 20:50

are we?

scottishmummy · 08/12/2012 20:50

minty i agree its tiresome when folk moan about txt seak and good spelling
but still they do it
the its just not cricket on mn to txt talk,or have poor syntax

ReinDearPrudence · 08/12/2012 20:50

I don't think they are tweeisms. I think they are used to convey tone, so I don't mind them. It only works, though, because MN allows swearing. So if someone says 'blardy' I don't assume they mean 'bloody' but are too refined to say so.

ClippedPhoenix · 08/12/2012 20:51

of course we are, otherwise we would learn sod all. repetition.

scottishmummy · 08/12/2012 20:51

someone says blardy i wonder why they're being so affected as to not say bloody

AlexReidsLonelyThisChristmas · 08/12/2012 20:53

The use of the word disingenuous has spread like a bad case of herpes too. And 7/10 it's not used appropriately.

AmIthatTinselly · 08/12/2012 20:54

ah, so blardy means bloody. How odd.

AlexReidsLonelyThisChristmas · 08/12/2012 20:55

I do like feck though. My family are all Irish Feckers and if it's good enough for Ted Crilly...

SomersetONeil · 08/12/2012 20:57

Blardy is fine. Bleddy is awful. Really, really bad.

ClippedPhoenix · 08/12/2012 20:58

Exactly. Bloody in the bible, bloody in the book, if you don't believe me take a bloody look. Blardy is just stupid Grin

apostrophethesnowman · 08/12/2012 20:58

I fecking hate when you post something and someone responds:

You would do...say...whatever...Really?

Why the need to ask...Really?

I often feel like saying, no I'm a fecking liar, I just thought I would say that so that you could say Really

ClippedPhoenix · 08/12/2012 20:59

well maybe they can't quite believe the shit that's been posted Grin

AmIthatTinselly · 08/12/2012 21:00
Grin

I got asked that today. I replied "Yes, really"

ClippedPhoenix · 08/12/2012 21:02

really = are you sure?

I know what you mean though, If I wasn't sure I wouldn't have said it would I Grin

apostrophethesnowman · 08/12/2012 21:03

Amitinselly I've answered like that too!

ane before you ask, yes really Xmas Grin

ClippedPhoenix · 08/12/2012 21:05

Im quite fond of being called a bitch for some reason, it's usually because I meant to be Grin

scottishmummy · 08/12/2012 21:08

the wankiest phrase on mn is did you mean to be so rude
obvious retort is well hell yes i did
its the way people say it on mn as if its so searing, bound to assail any detractors

ClippedPhoenix · 08/12/2012 21:11

yep, its the nastiest scottish, it's a huge passive aggresive thing to say to shut people up in an instant. Someone used it on me the other day and I said exactly the same, yes I did and bring it on fists out for a fight

MrsKwaziipanFruits · 08/12/2012 21:22

Have we agreed to step the fuck away from feck? Marvellous.

I would like to see the instant demise of "Wow. Just wow." Just get to the point rather than making unnecessary exclamations.
