Went shopping yesteerday.ds1. Jas a blu badge so we parked in a disabled space.went to shops and back to car couple of hours later. We have 4 dcs and the baby 7 mths started screaming and was hungry.by then the car park was packd. I started to feed ds while dh got other dcs in car and an elderly couple drove past and politely asked if we were leaving, dh said sorry not yet then 2 other drivers did the same but the fourth stopped got out and said please could we hurry up, I explained that when I had fed ds we would be going but she was really angry and said a disabled space is not just for sitting in that we should go immediately. I was only another ten mins fding ds it is hard enough going out as all dcs have same condition and ds2 was really screaming I had to feed him as it was a long drive home. Was I being unreasonable?

Thankyou sock! Now that I know I was not breaking bb rules AT ALL I feel so much better. In fact I might even go out a bit more with the dcs now I have one less thing to worry about if the baby did need feeding in a similar situation. Brilliant bit of research!

All of my suggestions have no scientific proof, therefore no links, but I have heard you are better swallowing sorem and using pineapple as a suppository! I don't expect you to do that, but just thought I'd get it out there!

Afrodizzywonders · 04/12/2012 22:25

Glaik- Had the last one at home, it was relatively quick for a first....I'm over 90 mins from the hospital so this one will be a homebirth too.....hopefully. Live in a pretty remote place, just don't want snow....can just see family running off to find a bloody farmer to deliver the baby if the midwives can't get here!

Tufty, why were my congratulations anymore patronising than yours?

Because, NoLittle, Tufty just congratulated Offred. You talked down to her and made vague criticisms about her supposedly 'sloppy arguments' without providing any examples. As others have pointed out, academia is all about precise referencing - despite repeatedly being asked to provide specific references for your (incorrect) claims on this thread, you failed to do so.

So, although you claim to be well-respected in your field, I don't think you are well-respected enough on this thread to dole out that kind of advice without appearing patronising.

Offred · 04/12/2012 22:26

Afro - belly dancing did it for me with the twins!!!

megandraper · 04/12/2012 22:26

Cross-posted with Offred herself who said the same thing!

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 22:27

That is entirely up to you to believe, but what in my llast post did you find nasty? Which principles in particular?

Afrodizzywonders · 04/12/2012 22:27

thanks Sabrina Wine

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 22:28

Behopper same to you?

megandraper · 04/12/2012 22:28

OP - really glad you came back and that you saw Sock's posts. I hope you and your DC do have more nice days out together. The Blue Badge is there to make your lives a tiny bit easier. Happy Christmas to you all.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 04/12/2012 22:29

Ariane, I am really glad you came back to see what Sock did in the name of research for you!

Glad it's put your mind at rest :)

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 22:29

Bedhopper without kknowing who I am in RL how can you be sure?

megandraper · 04/12/2012 22:29

Offred · 04/12/2012 22:29

Yes, I'm glad you saw sock's post too op! Glad you feel better because of it too!

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 22:29

Eek! Mind you, a farmer might have been more delicate than the cow of a MW I had! Hands like digger shovels!

Good luck! :)

Oh afrod, How exciting, a new baby on the way. .
hey, I have an idea, if you have bb, you could feed your baby in the car wherever you like Grin

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 04/12/2012 22:32
