Went shopping yesteerday.ds1. Jas a blu badge so we parked in a disabled space.went to shops and back to car couple of hours later. We have 4 dcs and the baby 7 mths started screaming and was hungry.by then the car park was packd. I started to feed ds while dh got other dcs in car and an elderly couple drove past and politely asked if we were leaving, dh said sorry not yet then 2 other drivers did the same but the fourth stopped got out and said please could we hurry up, I explained that when I had fed ds we would be going but she was really angry and said a disabled space is not just for sitting in that we should go immediately. I was only another ten mins fding ds it is hard enough going out as all dcs have same condition and ds2 was really screaming I had to feed him as it was a long drive home. Was I being unreasonable?

Though I don't thinkk you will because you're enjoying yourself too much! Wink

Offred · 04/12/2012 21:35

Which "parliament papers" are these? Legislation - acts of parliament or increasingly statutory instruments are not "parliament papers".... They are acts of parliament and statutory instruments...

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 21:35

Well I was deleted for suggesting my thoughts on someone's niceness, so calling someone a moron is much much worse.

I've never been deleted before.......

Offred · 04/12/2012 21:36

Except I have no feelings about you and I'm not being passive aggressive, I am simply disagreeing with you and asking you to cite sources for what you say/explain what you mean/challenging you when you are incorrect...

Offred · 04/12/2012 21:37

You've never justified where I am being vile btw.

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 21:37

Well aware Offered, thanks all the same though sweeie, don't you have some reporting to do? Wink

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 04/12/2012 21:37

Oh Sock - that is brilliant.

So there is no question at all - the OP was not being unreasonable.

I know we all told her to hide this thread, but in a way I hope she looks back in to see your post!

AmberSocks · 04/12/2012 21:37

If i needed that space and then saw you were feeding i would of understood and said "oh shes feeding sorry" i would think any intelligent well mannered person would.

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 21:38

I'm just hoping to fill the thread up so it can disappear into the mumsnet archives for all eternity!

Glaik well you were today, so I guess you're bjust llike this rest of us deep down Wink

Afrodizzywonders · 04/12/2012 21:38

Way back in this thread nolittle you were spouting that you had sources for why the OP had broken sacred BB holder law, people repeatedly asked you to link to them, you ignored.........because lets face it, you were just goading having your 'sport', people can't take you seriously on here because you are not backing yourself up at all.

Offered isn't attacking you, you simply can't justify your flimsy arguments.

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 21:39

Sabrina, Are you OP's RL Mum? Grin

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 21:40

Had to pop my cherry at some point. Glad it was on you nolittle!

You have a little special place in my swinging brick

AndABigBirdInaPearTree · 04/12/2012 21:40

A grammar nazi is one who feels the urge to correct a spelling or other grammatical mistake. You made a post simply to correct a single 's' while having many typos and spelling errors in the same post.

You still haven't shown your sources. Even if we find the same paper(s) that you say you are looking at we still don't know what part you are using to back up your argument. If you really truly are researching it then why is it so hard to quote or link? If you are a professional working on this then you should know it is important to cite exact sources, not suggest people google stuff.

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 21:40

Why do you keep replying if you get nothing from responding to me, and I'm obviously a vile fuckwit?

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 04/12/2012 21:41

NoLittle - are you the person that shouted at her?

You've certainly done enough shouting on this thread. Especially for someone who is wrong.

megandraper · 04/12/2012 21:41

NoLittle. 12.16 I thinkk you and sabrina are both rude to say what you have said about my work, when you have not read any of it or looked into the D Rights movement.

A very peculiar post, NoLittle. Show me a post where I have mentioned your work. I have said nothing about your work. I have no idea what it is, nor am I especially interested.

And you have no idea if I have 'looked into the D Rights movement' (Disabled Rights, presumably). As a matter of fact, I am halfway through a PhD related to Disability Studies.

In this context, I imagine you are well aware that Michael Oliver's 1983 definition of the social model of disability (disability is the result of the barriers society puts in the way of people with impairments) and rejection of the medical model (disability as a medical problem, situated within the person with an impairment) has been a central development of the Disabled Rights movement. Your harsh and narrow views about usage of BB parking spaces, together with your focus on who has the most severe medical problem is in effect placing yet another barrier in the way of disabled people and their carers trying to go about their daily business. Rather counter-productive in terms of disability rights, I would say.

Sock - your empirical research is impressive, and the most practical contribution to this thread so far. I do hope that OP has seen your posts, as they would be very reassuring for her. I like your style.

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 21:41

I'm her auntie

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 21:43

Anyone fancy a Wine, I'm having one!

AndABigBirdInaPearTree · 04/12/2012 21:44

How does one know if one has been deleted?

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 04/12/2012 21:44
