Went shopping yesteerday.ds1. Jas a blu badge so we parked in a disabled space.went to shops and back to car couple of hours later. We have 4 dcs and the baby 7 mths started screaming and was hungry.by then the car park was packd. I started to feed ds while dh got other dcs in car and an elderly couple drove past and politely asked if we were leaving, dh said sorry not yet then 2 other drivers did the same but the fourth stopped got out and said please could we hurry up, I explained that when I had fed ds we would be going but she was really angry and said a disabled space is not just for sitting in that we should go immediately. I was only another ten mins fding ds it is hard enough going out as all dcs have same condition and ds2 was really screaming I had to feed him as it was a long drive home. Was I being unreasonable?

In your opinion you thought she wasn't.

However, 2 people that work in issuing of BB's have confirmed that she was perfectly within her rights to do this. Put that together with the legislation on being able to bf your baby without hindrance and she WNBU.

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 17:48

Prove it then, don't just tell us to fucking google it! If she illegally used her bb, link is to the Information you are basing your opinion on. Because at the moment that is all it is .... Opinion!

I think I may have just broken my keyboard typing this!

TuftyFinch · 04/12/2012 17:48

Are you posting this while eating with your family?

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 17:48

Sabrina, if the OP is so upset/ distressed she can tell me herself, she doesn't need a champion

Offred · 04/12/2012 17:49

Ryled - if you want a more specific and reliable search try the website "Europa" here. You'll be able to find all the European law on there including the case law on the courts' pages. Unfortunately english case law is not publicly available for free and the government public statute documents here are not updated regularly and so are redundant. If you want up to date and accurate english law you need a subscription to lexis library or west law really (which I do have but cumbersome to access on my phone).

Parking spaces for the disabled exist so the disabled person can park their car near to the place where they wish to go.

They also exist so that carers for disabled children can leave the house with said children, whether or not the disabled children are the prime focus of the journey. As with non-disabled children if you want to go to the dentist/hairdresser/shoe shopping/meet a friend, you have to either take them with you or find somebody else to look after them.

Offred · 04/12/2012 17:50

Nolittle - She did tell you and you ignored her and who are you to say she doesn't need a champion? Maybe she wants to be defended...

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 04/12/2012 17:52

NoLittle, it was obvious that the incident caused the op considerable distress. That much is clear from her OP. But you seemed to see this whole thread as an opportunity for sport and fun, at the expense of others.

You must feel very proud.

Apologising is pretty meaningless when you keep being mean.

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 17:57

PISS OFF GAIT HOW DARE YOU!

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 17:57

You are you calling a moron! Is that a personal attack nolittle??

NolittleBuddahsorTigerMomshere · 04/12/2012 17:58

Haven't apollogised to you, as far as I'm aware

Offred · 04/12/2012 17:58

No it isn't because you need to know how to read the law and also how it is updated.

GlaikitFizzogTheChristmasElf · 04/12/2012 17:59

For all we know nolittle you are a stranger on the Internet, we do not have to uphold your opinion as gospel be ause we don't have the facts to back it up?
